Decent amount of car parking available. I visited East Riding Leisure Beverly to attend an event that was hosted in one of their conference rooms. The catering was good. Finding the conference room was easy. Staff were friendly. I also noticed it’s wheelchair friendly. Lots of green spaces outdoor for fresh air when you need it.
The gym is filthy even first thing in a morning and there are no softer/carpeted areas to access for alternative training such as mobility. Weights are always left all over the room and never put back where they should be. A fairly ok range of equipment.
I would have given 5 stars if only Beverley leisure centre would pay their gas bill and put the heating on. The pool is always too cold and the building is cold so even on the hottest days I have come out shivering. Please please heat the pool. That aside the centre is good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are good especially the gym. There are plenty of classes too. Well worth the membership, every penny! If only they would heating the pool 🥶
Use the centre for my sons swimming lessons. If they get the right instructor, then it's fab. But to be quite frank, the bulk of them are so disinterested. They give a task but no feedback to the kids on how to improve. If you child is between 3 and 5, find a class where Simon is free cos he's phenomenal. The rest......frustrating at best.
Changing rooms need a scrubber wash they are absolutely filthy, slimy with grime, absolutely disgusting, you can tell it's a long time since a deep clean as there's a rim of black grime around where each cubicle meets the floor. Cafe lady needs some training in customer service too. Saving grace - The manager was very fair as we arrived for a swim session that was advertised as 2 different times online and we were provided a very fair and generous compensation voucher having had to break the news to our 4 year old she couldn't swim with the big floats which we travelled 45 minutes for. Disappointed as I visited from far, having worked there over 20 years ago before the pool was added.
