The Jamia Masjid Hanfia is one of the most prominent, well-established, and spiritually enriching mosques in Bradford. It is a grand centre of worship that radiates tranquillity, discipline, and deep respect for Islamic tradition. From the moment one enters the mosque, there is an overwhelming sense of peace and reverence, enhanced by the spacious prayer hall, well-aligned saff rows, elegant chandeliers, and beautiful Islamic calligraphy adorning the walls. At the heart of Jamia Masjid Hanfia is its respected leadership under Mufti Abdus Sami Sahaab, the Head Imam and Mufti of the mosque. Mufti Abdus Sami Sahaab is widely known for his profound knowledge, humility, and calm, dignified manner. He comes from a distinguished family of Islamic scholarship; his father, grandfather, and forefathers were all Muftis and scholars, masha’Allah. This strong scholarly lineage is clearly reflected in the depth, authenticity, and balance of his teachings. Jamia Masjid Hanfia firmly follows the Ahl-e-Sunnah-ul-Jamaat tradition and the Fiqh of Imam Abu Hanifa (Rahimahullah). The guidance provided here is deeply rooted in the Qur’an, Hadith, and Sunnah, while remaining highly relevant to modern life. The mosque successfully bridges classical Islamic jurisprudence with contemporary realities, making it a trusted place for sound religious direction. One of the most commendable aspects of Mufti Abdus Sami Sahaab’s role is his practical and compassionate approach to guidance. He regularly addresses everyday matters such as financial dealings, economic responsibilities, social relationships, and family issues, explaining Islamic rulings with clarity and wisdom. His advice is never rushed or superficial; instead, it is thoughtful, patient, and tailored to real-life circumstances faced by Muslims living in the UK. The mosque plays a particularly vital role in nurturing the younger generation. During school holidays and out-of-term periods, Mufti Sahaab makes special efforts to address youngsters, students, and young adults. He openly discusses the challenges of living in Western societies, emphasising the importance of respecting the law of the land, maintaining good character, and demonstrating tolerance, patience, and moral conduct. His talks help young Muslims develop confidence in their identity while remaining responsible, respectful, and law-abiding citizens. The photographs of Jamia Masjid Hanfia beautifully capture the strong sense of unity within the congregation. Worshippers of all ages stand shoulder to shoulder in Salah, elders and youth praying together in harmony. Jumu’ah prayers are particularly inspiring, with large congregations filling the mosque, reflecting its central role in the spiritual life of the local community. Jamia Masjid Hanfia is more than just a place of prayer; it is a centre of learning, guidance, and community cohesion. The environment is welcoming and dignified, and visitors immediately feel a sense of belonging. The mosque is well maintained, organised, and run with sincerity and dedication. In conclusion, Jamia Masjid Hanfia stands as a beacon of authentic Islamic scholarship, spiritual strength, and community leadership in Bradford. Under the guidance of Mufti Abdus Sami Sahaab, the mosque continues to serve the Ummah with wisdom, patience, and compassion. May Allah preserve this blessed institution, grant long life and strength to its scholars, and allow it to continue guiding generations to come. Ameen.
One of the well built and managed masjid Separate car park Wheelchair access Gorgeous main hall One of the best wuzu facilities Everything is well planned and runs in a flow May Allah accept your great work and make those involved prosper
Big beautiful masjid, big car park, good wudu facilities
I was there just a few days ago at Asr time and they really need to change the Muzzin and Imam. Remember the ttajweed is extremely important and you need a reciter who invites people to the masjid. Unfortunately without sounding disrespectful neither of them accomplished that.
Excellent mosque plenty of space and facilities.
