Repeated physical abuse of my non-verbal autistic child in Kids Planet nursery!!! My autistic son, who is non-verbal and has ADHD was physically abused on multiple occasions in the nursery. The manager Melissa waited until the last day of the term to reveal that, but she said there was only one female staff member who carried out the abuse. It was a lie, because the West Yorkshire police concluded that it was two females. The nursery manager told us the horrendous details in person, but later on, the nursery's child protection officer phoned us and gave a milder/toned down version. We contacted the police, but the police could only carry out the investigation based on the CCTV footage the nursery provided. The nursery chose to provide only six clips containing the abuse, so we will never know what information they withheld from the police and from LADO. Kids Planet’s child protection officer lied to us that the nursery had been cleared of any wrongdoing. The truth is that police told us that Kids Planet never informed Ofsted about the physical abuse. I share my experience here, so that other parents, especially those with vulnerable children can protect their kids from attending Kids Planet nurseries. We could never imagine that our four-year-old non-verbal, disabled child was subjected to repeated abuse. Never trust Kids Planet nurseries with your child’s safety and protection.
