We were looking for a new Breakfast place. Searching we found this gem was on our doorstep. Booking, which is recommended, was easy We started of with the basics on our first visit, 1 NK fry up and 1 mighty fry up. Everything seems to be local and good quality. Sausages were sublime and the black pudding, wow. Melted in your mouth. Eggs cooked to perfection. Everything was well cooked and tasty. Sourdough toast yummy. Followed by a perfect latte. Cost £23 which was well worth it. Try it. You won’t be disappointed.
Finding a quality meal in an industrial unit on the edge of the M606 isn’t usually on the cards, but Northern Kitchen is a proper exception to the rule. It has a bit of an odd location, tucked away in the Euroway Trading Estate, and the car park is essentially just part of an active industrial unit. Don't let the "weird" entrance put you off, though; once you’re inside, the contrast between the surroundings and the excellence of the food is quite something. The breakfast menu is a standout, and the smoked fish hash is particularly delicious—perfectly seasoned and a welcome change from the usual café staples. I’ve recently sampled the dedicated Sunday menu as well, and it holds its own against the regular offerings in terms of both variety and quality. If you're stopping by for a quick lunch, the salted beef sandwich is a must; it tastes like something straight out of a New York deli. And honestly, the Korean Chicken burger alone is worth the drive out from Harrogate. It’s an ideal spot for families or solo diners who value a relaxed, no-fuss atmosphere without compromising on the standard of cooking. Since I prefer to keep a clear head for the drive, I was pleased to find their coffee and soft drink selection is handled with as much care as the food. If you're heading towards the motorway, do yourself a favour: skip the service station and head here instead. It’s significantly better than you’d imagine for a place in the middle of a trading estate.
Visited for the first time this morning with a friend, the place is very aesthetically pleasing on the eye. Staff were lovely and the food is just simply wonderful, great quality and reasonably priced. Will be returning!
Tried here for sunday lunch (forgot to take photo of it!). 2 of us had roast beef and the other person had belly pork. The Yorkshire puddings are huge!! It came with a parsnip, carrot, mash potato and roast potatoes. Seasonal veg was cabbage, kale and mange tout. Extra gravy was provided when I requested it. My husband and I shared a sticky toffee pudding which came with ice cream, it was gorgeous. Northern kitchen is situated in the industrial estate off the M606. It has a seating area outside which will great in the summer. We all really enjoyed the Sunday lunch and we will definitely go back again. Recommend that you book a table on a Sunday. Plenty of parking as well.
Ten of us visited Northern Kitchen yesterday and had an amazing time! They accommodated us at short notice, shuffled things around so that our dog could join, served everything within a good amount of time and the food was so tasty. Good, healthy portions served by happy and attentive staff. We thanked the chef as we were paying and he also seemed like he really put a lot of love into his food. Will most definitely be returning!
