Tried the regular thali and undhiyu at Gujarati Kitchen. The thali overall was good and comforting, both vegetable curries were amazing and genuinely reminded me of home. The kadhi, in particular, was phenomenal and easily the highlight of the meal. However, the thali comes with only two puris, which felt a bit disappointing given the otherwise generous flavours. The undhiyu was not quite what we expected. While the fresh green garlic flavour was refreshing initially, it became overpowering after a point. It also felt a bit dry and lacked enough curry, which took away from the overall experience. Service was satisfactory, but we did walk in with high expectations. A mixed experience, but the thali flavours definitely stand out.
Scared for trying for first time, however the experience was way more tastier and enjoyable. The chef was very polite and introduced us dishes that we didn’t know. Loved how being pure vegetarian had so many dishes on the menu. Definitely bringing more friends in on next visit. Tried masala dosa and punjabi thali- it was very fulfilling and delicious. So affordable prices too. Definitely worth coming back again and again. :)
Had an amazing experience at Gujarati Kitchen with friends! The Hakka noodles were flavorful, the Punjabi thali was wholesome, and the chole bhature hit the spot. Every dish was fresh and delicious. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. Highly recommend for great food and service!
What a wonderful hidden gem this is. Delicious, unusual and affordable food, a really wide menu, all freshly prepared, served by charming, engaging staff and what a bargain. We travelled from Sheffield to try it and will definitely return just for this place. Definitely worth the journey, for the Dhokla alone, but all our dishes were excellent. It's nicely comfortable and very clean and an enjoyable place to people watch, many customers coming in to buy the gorgeous sweets they sell, while you're eating. Staff couldn't have been better, welcoming and patient with our many questions. Visit this place, it's ace!
My friend sugheated this place and we travelled from Halifax just for this hotel. It was worth the travel and everything we ordered was great especially the Street foods. Being vegetarian we truly enjoyed the taste and would recommend
