The service was good and received food in good time. The restaurant itself was clean and staff checked up to see how the food was and if i needed anything else. The food was really nice and there are so many options to choose from, took a while for me to decide. I highly recommend Shimlas!
DIRTY PLASTER in the chicken donner. Absolutely disgusting. Guy on the phone refused to acknowledge and didnt even apologise. DO NOT VISIT
Ordered through uber eats just now, food is way below expectations. Horrible. Burnt fish pakora, nasty soggy rice etc. Definitely not worth the money
The worst ‘sandwhich’ I’ve ever tasted. I ordered the naga donner sandwhich which had far too much sauce. No onions just a few peppers all falling out because of the amount of tasteless sauce they had stir fried the dinner in. They also thought they would use a brioche sandwhich roll which made it even more impossible to eat as the sauce had soaked right through the bread. No mention of this on the description either. Well done for making the worlds messiest sandwich
Ordered from Shimlas on Leeds Road, and honestly, I regret it.The chicken donner was dry, tasteless, and felt like it had been sitting out for hours. The naan was cold and rubbery — definitely not freshly made. The curry had a weird smell and lacked any real flavour. It tasted like it had been reheated, not freshly cooked. What made it worse was finding a hair in the curry. That completely ruined my appetite. The salad was just a few wilted bits of lettuce and onions thrown together without any care. Nothing felt fresh, and the presentation was poor. Tried calling the restaurant to raise the issue and got a rude, dismissive response. No apology, no offer to make it right. I later checked their food hygiene history and wasn’t shocked — if you care about food safety and basic quality, avoid Shimlas Leeds Road. This was a complete letdown, and I won’t be ordering again.
