Five Star Kitchen

I ordered the sharing box and 2 dips off of Uber. Since there is no description underneath the sharing box I didn’t know if it came with sauces. Just to find out it came with 4 other than the 2 I paid for separately. Once the food came it tasted absolutely horrible. Everything tastes like oil and grease although the presentation wasn’t bad the food itself tasted appalling. Shared with my mum and even she thought everything tastes like old oil. Not a picky eater yet I had to force myself to try the food. Didn’t get to finish the food which I payed £28 for. The only thing which we did agree upon being nice was the house donner. Not worth the hype. Nor the money. Never ordering again. Stinky food.

Me and my wife went to see what all the hype was about. We got the sharing box for £20 and that came without drinks 👎 we got a chicken burger and a smashed burger, stir fried donner and mac n cheese and strips. The burgers were decent and rich in flavour. However the mac and cheese was very dry and not saucy at all and the strips were marinated over the top. Overall 6/10. The seating wasnt comfortable at all too

After seeing fantastic reviews on this establishment I decided to visit this place for lunch. Got one Smash Don and one Smash Box. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to unwrap my Smash Burger and have two scrawny pieces of beef inside. Sure it's smashed but there's a limit to the stinginess of meat being served. Empty burger. Nothing more to be said. The buffalo tenders were alright - very strong in flavour. The donner on the other hand was not very tasty, wasn't to my liking really. However, this is personal preference - I prefer mine not being dry. The Smash Don was simply The Smash Burger with some donner sprinkled ontop. Below average reviews were given for this too. The service however was great - nice gentleman taking the order and the food quickly being prepared and placed infront of us. I was disappointed to not have been told the Smash Burger comes as a meal and I ordered extra curly fries with it - those being all stuck together, being forced to shove giant pieces of curly fries into your mouth... Overall, below average experience - will not be visiting again.

I used to absolutely love this place — I would even travel all the way from Leeds to Bradford just to get their peri chicken and rice. It was always fresh, flavourful, and worth the trip. But today was such a huge disappointment. The chicken and rice both tasted awful and didn’t feel fresh at all. I ended up throwing everything away. This used to be my favourite spot, so it’s really sad to see how much the quality has dropped.

On the left is the rice and chicken I recieved from 5 star, on the right, is the rice and chicken I received from Gardenia Restaurant (I have no affiliation to them, but a good restaurant deserves recognition.) the amount of rice in that box is appalling. The chicken wasn’t that great either. The chicken meat just didn’t taste very fresh, it tasted pretty poor quality to be honest. Imagine you received that box- who would actually be happy with that? Who thought it was a good idea to send this out? Truly ruined my dinner time today. It’s embarrassing. I would be embarrassed if I owned a restaurant called 5 star and sent something like this out. Compare the two boxes and ask yourself, which one actually looks like it came out of a place called 5 star? Let’s be honest, the box looks like it came out of somewhere called 1 star. Hate to be a Debbie Downer but to be sent something like that shows clear disrespect and disregard for the customer.
