<p><strong>Accounts Senior / Accounts Assistant | £30,000 - £40,000 | Full-Time | Office-Based- Bradford</strong></p> <p>Are you an experienced practice accountant looking for a role where you'll be valued, supported, and genuinely enjoy coming into work?</p> <p>If you're someone who enjoys building relationships with clients, supporting junior staff, and being part of a down-to-earth, friendly team, this could be a great fit.</p> <p>We're partnering with a growing independent accountancy practice based in Bradford that has recently gone through an exciting period of change, including new leadership and a move to modern offices.</p> <p>They're now looking to bring in an Accounts Senior / Accounts Assistant to support the team, take ownership of client work, and help develop junior staff.</p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>You'll manage your own portfolio while playing a key role in supporting both clients and the wider team.</p> <ul> <li><strong>Client Management:</strong> Managing a portfolio of SME clients across a range of sectors</li><li><strong>Year-End Accounts:</strong> Preparing accounts for limited companies</li><li><strong>Tax Work:</strong> Personal tax returns (directors) and corporation tax returns</li><li><strong>Bookkeeping:</strong> Supporting clients with day-to-day finance</li><li><strong>Training & Mentorship:</strong> Supporting and developing junior staff</li><li><strong>Client Interaction:</strong> Building strong, long-term relationships</li></ul> <p>This is a hands-on, client-facing role with real variety and responsibility.</p> <p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>Practice background with around 5 years' experience</li><li>AAT qualified (or QBE considered)</li><li>Confident preparing year-end accounts and tax returns</li><li>Comfortable managing clients and setting expectations</li><li>Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach</li><li>Experience with Xero, Sage, or similar software (Dext beneficial)</li><li>CIS experience advantageous but not essential</li></ul> <p><strong>Why Join?</strong></p> <p>This is a firm where culture really matters.
