The role would suit an individual with a strong background in claimant personal injury litigation who enjoys mentoring others, driving performance, and maintaining high standards of client care.</p> <strong>The Opportunity</strong> <p><br />Joining a well-respected Personal Injury team, you will play a key role in the supervision and development of fee earners and support staff while continuing to oversee a caseload of more complex claimant matters. The department handles a varied range of <strong>Employer's Liability (EL)</strong>, <strong>Public Liability (PL)</strong> and <strong>Road Traffic Accident (RTA)</strong> claims, and the successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and to a high standard. <br />This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and success of the department while working within a supportive and collaborative environment.</p> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong> <ul> <li>Supervising and supporting a team of fee earners, paralegals and support staff</li><li>Providing technical guidance and assistance on litigated and pre-litigated personal injury matters</li><li>Monitoring team performance, workloads and case progression to ensure service standards are maintained</li><li>Conducting file reviews and ensuring compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements and client expectations</li><li>Assisting with the training, mentoring and development of junior team members</li><li>Managing a reduced caseload of complex EL, PL and RTA claims</li><li>Assessing liability, causation and quantum on higher-value or technically challenging matters</li><li>Supporting the department's operational objectives, performance targets and business development initiatives</li><li>Liaising with clients, insurers, medical experts and other third parties as required</li><li>Promoting excellent client care and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the claims process</li></ul> <strong>Candidate Requirements</strong> <ul> <li>Significant experience handling claimant personal injury matters</li><li>Strong knowledge of EL, PL and RTA claims, including litigated matters</li><li>Previous supervisory, mentoring or team leadership experience, or a demonstrable desire to move into a leadership role</li><li>Excellent understanding of the litigation process and Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)</li><li>Strong technical ability and confidence in supporting others with complex matters</li><li>Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills</li><li>A proactive and collaborative approach with a commitment to team development and continuous improvement</li></ul> <strong>What's on Offer</strong> <ul> <li>Competitive salary and benefits package</li><li>Opportunity to take on a leadership role within a growing department</li><li>Supportive and collaborative working environment</li><li>Hybrid and flexible working arrangements</li><li>Clear progression prospects and ongoing professional development</li><li>Exposure to high-quality work and complex personal injury matters</li><li>The opportunity to make a genuine impact on team performance and departmental success</li></ul>
