CNC Machinist
<p>Elevation Recruitment are supporting a leading manufacturing organisation in Bradford to recruit a CNC Machinist. This is a hands-on, production-focused role working within a cell-based manufacturing environment, where you will be responsible for setting and operating machining equipment to meet production and quality requirements.</p> <p>You’ll work closely with shift leaders, engineers, and quality teams to ensure smooth operation of machinery, continuous improvement in output, and adherence to high standards of safety and quality.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>Job Title: </strong>CNC Machinist<br /><strong>Location: </strong>Bradford<br /><strong>Hours: </strong>36 hpw<br /><strong>Contract: Full-time, Permanent</strong><br /><strong>Working Pattern: </strong>3 shifts (Mornings / Afternoons / Nights)<br /><strong>Salary:</strong> £38,000</p> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Set up and adjust production machinery accurately for both personal and team use</li><li>Operate machine tools within a cell-based production environment to meet delivery targets</li><li>Identify and report tooling or equipment issues promptly to supervisors or relevant teams</li><li>Ensure machinery runs efficiently to maximise productivity and output</li><li>Maintain strict adherence to quality standards and specifications</li><li>Support 5S and TPM principles to maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workplace</li><li>Promote awareness of quality expectations and professional working standards</li><li>Work with Quality Engineers to investigate and reduce scrap and rework</li><li>Collaborate with Manufacturing and Maintenance Engineers to improve process efficiency</li><li>Support the training and development of apprentices and new team members</li><li>Maintain a positive, professional, and proactive work ethic</li></ul> <p><strong>Health, Safety & Compliance</strong></p> <ul> <li>Adhere strictly to all health and safety procedures and promptly report any concerns</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures relating to risk management</li><li>Maintain full compliance with equality and diversity standards, ensuring a respectful and inclusive working environment</li><li>Work safely within a controlled manufacturing environment, wearing all required PPE</li></ul> <p><strong>Skills & Experience Required</strong></p> <ul> <li>Time-served Engineering Apprentice or equivalent qualification (preferred)</li><li>Minimum 2 years’ machining experience within a manufacturing environment</li><li>CNC machining experience is highly desirable</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments</li><li>Good organisational and machine setting abilities</li><li>Experience supporting or mentoring others (including apprentices) advantageous</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output</li><li>Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and professional approach</li></ul> <p><strong>Why Apply?</strong></p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing environment where you can further develop your technical skills, work as part of a supportive team, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.</p> <p>If you are an experienced Machinist looking for your next opportunity, apply today by sending your cv to Nicola Jackson at Elevation Recruitment.</p>
