<p><strong>Domestic Abuse Support Worker</strong></p> <p><strong>12 month Fixed Term Contract</strong></p> <p><strong>£27,500- £28,500</strong></p> <p><strong>Bradford</strong></p> <p>Hamilton Woods are recruiting for a charitable organisation that is requiring a Domestic Abuse Support Worker to work with men, women and children fleeing domestic abuse.</p> <p>The role is initially offered on a 12 month FTC, with scope for the role to become permanent.</p> <p>The working hours are 9am-5pm Monday - Friday </p> <p><strong>**Please note: we can only accept applications from women under schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010**</strong></p> <p><strong>Duties of the Domestic Abuse Support Worker:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supporting individuals and families fleeing domestic violence living within temporary accommodation</li><li>Creating independent support packages</li><li>Safeguarding clients and actively reducing the risk of further harm</li><li>Working with partner agencies and forging strong relationships</li><li>Empowering clients to reach their goals and move towards independent living</li></ul> <p><strong>Essential requirements of the Domestic Abuse Support Worker:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Enhanced DBS or willingness to undergo one</li><li>Previous experience working within domestic violence/ sexual violence or a with a vulnerable client group supporting within a housing support capacity</li></ul> <p><strong>Desirable requirements of the Domestic Abuse Support Worker:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to speak additional languages such as Urdu or Punjabi is advantageous</li><li>Driving licence and access to a vehicle</li></ul> <p><strong>Benefits of the Domestic Abuse Support Worker:</strong></p> <ul> <li>30 days annual leave + bank holidays</li><li>Enhanced maternity pay</li><li>Healthcare schemes</li><li>Employee discount scheme</li><li>Employee wellbeing programme</li></ul>
