Credit Controller

<strong><strong>Credit Controller | Bradford | &#163;30,000 to &#163;35,000<br /><br /></strong></strong>We are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a successful and growing business based in Bradford.<br /><br />This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded credit professional who enjoys building strong working relationships and taking a proactive approach to debt collection. Working closely with Project Managers and operational teams, you will play a key role in managing contract-related debt, monitoring WIP, and ensuring cash is collected at each stage of the project lifecycle.<br />Key responsibilities include:<br /><ul> <li>Managing the collection of outstanding debt across a portfolio of contracts and projects.</li><li>Monitoring and reviewing Work in Progress (WIP) to support effective cash flow management.</li><li>Working closely with Project Managers to identify billing milestones and ensure timely collection at each stage of a contract.</li><li>Allocating incoming payments accurately and resolving any payment discrepancies.</li><li>Producing aged debt reports and providing updates to management.</li><li>Investigating and resolving invoice queries to minimise payment delays.</li><li>Building strong relationships with customers and internal teams to support prompt payment.</li><li>Supporting continuous improvement within the credit control function.</li></ul> <br />About You<br />We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller with strong communication and stakeholder management skills who is comfortable working within a project-based environment.<br />You will ideally have:<br /><ul> <li>Previous Credit Control experience with responsibility for contract-based accounts.</li><li>Experience monitoring and managing Work in Progress (WIP).</li><li>Strong communication and relationship-building skills.</li><li>The ability to work collaboratively with operational and project teams.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.</li><li>A proactive and results-driven approach to debt collection.</li><li>Experience within sectors such as <strong>Construction, Engineering, Insurance, Legal Services, or other project-led environments</strong> where WIP management is a key part of the role.</li></ul> <br />What's on Offer?<br /><ul> <li>Salary of <strong>&#163;35,000</strong></li><li>Opportunity to join a growing and successful business</li><li>Varied and commercially focused role</li><li>Supportive team environment</li><li>Long-term career development opportunities</li></ul> <br />If you're an experienced Credit Controller with a background in managing WIP and contract-related debt, we'd love to hear from you.<br /><br /><strong>Apply today for immediate consideration.</strong>
