We used this car park for an overnight stay at the adjacent Express by Holiday Inn. It was a great experience. The barriers use number plate cameras and we only paid £1.50 for over 14 hours parking time (overnight stay and morning visit to the Museum of Science & Media). I would park here again. Highly recommended.

To access the Holiday Inn Express, you need to enter this car park and go up to level 4. Then make your way out of the door thru an area where there is also Hollywood Bowl, Nandos, Cineworld & Pizza Hut...where you will find the entrance to the hotel. The parking cost is £1.50 which I thought was the hotel guest price, but now understand is for anyone.

Currently, the entry cameras do not register the correct car number for the parking ticket. As a result, payment made at any of the machines on the floors does not match the vehicle being driven. Consequently, at the exit, the gates will not open due to a mismatch between the vehicle's registration and the number on the car park ticket. One either has to pay again or call the operator using the small, black, insignificantly-located call button at the bottom right of the pay machine at the exit. Alternatively, one can seek assistance from the attendant on site, who is sitting in the office just behind the exit gates."
