Website doesn't explain how to report a debit card lost or stolen. Surely this should be a top priority! Spent half an hour trying to find a phone number to call that wasn't linked to a bot or AI chat! Phone number on the back of the debit card is the only number I trust. Anything else on the internet could be fake. I'm changing my bank after 20+ years because they are closing down bank branches. Safeguarding is not in their interest plus staff is not acting like bank employees when you need to go into a branch. Very unprofessional the lot of them.
Earlier on this year I went into NatWest in Bradford town centre, I paid my credit card with a cheque and got a receipt for it, the cheque went missing so had to send another payment. 17th October this year again went into the same NatWest and paid £200 in cash for my credit card payment, again got a receipt and GUESS WHAT - THIS PAYMENT HAS ALSO GONE MISSING. NOT GOOD - WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THIS BRANCH???? YOU COUDNT MAKE IT UP !!!
No stars (had to put one in to post) - can't get 'local' branch number, central 0345 number only and they can't make appointments over the 'phone! Told I have to physically go in to make an appointment then return for the appointment - even harder as they've shut all the branches, so have to go to main branch. Why wouldn't you do online only if there's no service?
My son and I visited your Broadway branch in Bradford on 28th May 2025, and were helped by Asam Khan and Hasena Begum, they were both so helpful and polite to us, and resolved my sons problem with his online account and new phone number, we were both delighted with there help, they are both a credit to your bank, many thanks again Margaret and Luc (10 out of 10 for your service.)
Staff are helpful however every time visit this branch the waiting times are really bad. They always seem to have technical difficulties with their computer system which makes it worse and takes even longer. Many times there has been only one member of staff serving the long queue despite more available service desks.
