Star Motor Factors

I wouldn’t use these lot again and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Needed some oil for a Audi asked the old man how which one he pointed out which one I needed and said it’s £8.50 I picked it up took to the counter and with in 30 seconds it was £10 because it was “premium” oil. Thought ok no problem although I know the same brand oil is no more than £8 in any motor factors as I do but service parts regularly. It’s £7.95 with free delivery on eBay. Anyway it was the wrong oil as it wasn’t suitable for the car so I returned it. Upon returning it I was met with a younger chap and I explained it’s not right oil and I need to return it. He looked at the receipt and he even he seemed shocked, asking is this all you bought or did you buy something else too? I explained no it was just this, so he asked who charged you? I explained it was an older chap (his dad). So he realised his dad had over charged as it’s probably something he always tries on people. Looking very disgruntled he issued the refund and didn’t say a word. Like just charge people the correct price and give them the correct thing they need in the first place.

I recently visited Star Motors to replace the batteries in my car keys. Initially, the service seemed fine, and the keys worked well right after the replacement. However, after about a week, both batteries failed, and I had to return to the shop. During my second visit, not only did they replace the battery again, but they also damaged the back of my key. They insisted that the damage was normal, even though the key had been perfectly fine before. To make matters worse, the replacement battery also stopped working shortly after the replacement. When I tried to address these issues, the staff were unhelpful and quite dishonest, these guys will act really innocent but when you question them they become really rude and nasty, both over the phone and in person. They seemed to blame me for the problems, and the overall attitude was disappointing. I had a very frustrating experience with Star Motors and would not recommend their services. Keep well away.

Promised to do a review from a couple of months ago but only got round to doing it!!! 🙊 Received an exceptional service from Usman in our time of need on a difficult Saturday. Not only did he arrange some calipers, pads and discs for one of our vans last minute but managed to find a garage to fit them! Since then I have returned as a regular customer for any parts required for any of our vehicles. Very knowledgeable, helpful and honest when dealing with Star Motors with an exceptional service everytime. Thank you Team C&G

Open on weekends late good prices

The staff have high knowledge in car products and parts, they gave me the exact part that I needed after I visited two other shops who both gave me the incorrect part. I strongly recommend getting your parts from here to avoid wasting time! the staff listen to what you want, great at recommending and the parts are high standard parts. Thanks.
