I am a fairly recent patient, I've rarely ever been to a doctor but I've reached an age where the odd issue will occur and visits have been necessary. The reception staff have always been polite and professional on the phone and in person. The NHS PATCHS application for booking appointments is ideal, although I have used the phone queuing system too. Having had to see different doctors and nurses, they've all been polite, professional, reassuring and have helped me get better. You can't ask for more than that.
Reception staff i have spoken to on the phone was very rude told me not to shout at her or she would put the phone down on me after explaining to her I am deaf slightly was a bit better I only wanted an appointment told her I can't use patches because I am dyslexic then she spoken down to me like I was totally stupid definitely need phone reception staff to be understanding just tried patches again for a face to face appointment sorry we have reach our limit today its the same message unless you go into the surgery and ask at the desk
I had a telephone appointment on 11/12 19.06 i was called eventually at 21.14 the phone didn't ring for even30 seconds before being hung up by 21.15 i was ringing the surgery and being told it was closed. How sad is Bowling medical practice getting?
I have to say the staff are so polite and helpful when I ha lve called the bowling practice. I apologise I didn’t get the ladies name who answered the phone but she was very professional, polite and explained everything so clearly and Joanne who called exactly the same. Thank you to all the staff you do not seem to be appreciated for your hard work on these reviews Update Just seen doctor Raheem, such a polite, easy to talk to, very professional and knowledgeable and explains everything in a clear manner. Absolutely the best doctor I have seen.
I am extremely frustrated with the service at this GP surgery. It seems impossible to get through to them on the phone. Every time I call, the line is constantly busy. To book an appointment, you are required to either call or visit the surgery in person. For those with mobility issues who cannot visit the surgery, securing an appointment at 8 o'clock in the morning is virtually impossible.I have attempted to call at 8:00, 8:05, 8:10, and 8:15, but the line remains busy. I have spent an entire hour repeatedly calling, yet no one answers. In a final attempt, I went to the surgery in person. While I was there, I called the surgery from my phone and observed staff chatting amongst themselves, ignoring the ringing phone. This lack of response and professionalism is unacceptable. Given the current state of affairs, this location might as well be closed. The service provided is as ineffective as the staff working there.Additionally, if you are running late, how do they expect you to communicate with them when they never pick up the phone? Last week, I had an appointment with the orthopaedic department and was going to be ten minutes late. Despite numerous attempts to call them, no one answered. When I arrived, I was asked why I had not called. As the receptionist was speaking to me, I discreetly dialed their number again and, unsurprisingly, the phone rang unanswered. When I finally saw the doctor, he asked why I was late. I explained my attempts to call for the past ten minutes. Despite this, he informed me that we could only address one issue due to time constraints. This inefficiency is not my fault. The surgery needs to improve its communication. Please, pick up the phone.
