Failed to connect first 2 times. Charging station told me to disconnect and try again. 3rd time it connected five and charged ok. Checked my bank account and 3 x £15 is now pending from my account. Looks like the first 2 times it didn’t connect properly still initiates a £15 pending payment. Pretty poor having £30 allocated from my bank for something didn’t connect through no fault of my own.
Great charge as usual, a slight niggle is app after 10pm in cheaper and should be displayed on charging stations screen to encourage people to download it. Helped a gentleman tonight who was new to ev and was his first charge. My referral code didn't work for him but he's now setup and getting used to the world of ev little by little.
Whilst there is no problem with the charger i must alert people to one down side to charging at this station. On our very first charge of our new Jeep Avenger we came to this charger on the way home. Plugged in and went to eat at the KFC. Car took 1 hour and 20 mins to charge. 3 days later we received a fine for staying in the carpark for more than 1 hour. There are signs as you enter the carpark but there is NO warning at the actual charge stations warning you not to stay more than 1 hour. It might be just me but i would have expected the carpark to allow you long enough to charge a car if they are going to put chargers on it.
These chargers work as they all should. Plug in, tap a card and charge very fast. If they were a bit cheaper I'd give them 5 stars.
not available this morning, app displayed one free but Openreach vans were queuing here :( location not quite right on the map either.
