The last time I used these was when the lovely Maureen King was with us, Wow it has changed since it was not clean and tidy and it cost me a fortune to dry half a load but it was an emergency so i am thankful. There was nobody there so you do need to have coins. ................................................ IN REPLY. She may have died 6 years ago, my point was standards have slipped, she was always there available, a young lady i was with told me nobody was available she had tried as it was sunday, and yes sorry it was a mess, but thank you for being open.
Called for 1st time today for wash and dry Washing machines were good but unfortunately the dryers at the front of shop were only warm and then cool even though I chose hot program. I rang bell for assistance but was told that my washing was dry (definitely not) and they don't get complaints. Customer already finished told me the dryers were always like that at front and to use the one she had finished with. I swapped dryer and my washing was dry in no time but I think £17 to wash and dry 2 loads is too much 2 x £5 to wash is good but £7 to dry!!!!7
Been going to this launderette for years and never had a problem. Only use the dryers there and they've always worked really well. The lady that runs the place now is lovely and friendly, if it's busy she always comes down and asks if anyone needs change, it's always clean and tidy, she has brightened the place up inside and there's the pot plants outside. What more could you want. Keep up the good work.
Pro's they have lots of dryers so there's no waiting time for them (unless in extremely busy circumstances) Con's Absolutely pointless having the opening/closing times on the door because they're false. Apparently closes at 7pm, I put my drying in at 5.45pm, stayed till 6.15, nipped out to go get some bits from the shop, got back at 6.30pm and the doors were closed & lights off. That's a whole 30mins before the stated closing time. Rang the number on the door, went through to a woman in Leeds who said there's nothing she can do about it. So absolutely pointless having opening and closing times if they're not adhering to them.
In response to the lady below. I have always found this to be a very friendly and reasonably priced place. The lady that runs it, is always pleasant and polite. I am sorry to hear that she is leaving, to the owner I only hope you can recruit someone with the same attributes.
