St Enoch's Post Office

Visited this post office on Tuesday 16 December around 4:50pm to process a simple refund. I had two forms of ID, but because one had an old address I was told to go home and update it — which I did immediately and returned. Instead of helping, the staff member then claimed the barcode on my letter “wasn’t working”, despite the fact that I had just received the letter that same day and it clearly included a reference number and barcode. She flat-out refused to process the refund, with no proper explanation and zero effort to help. Her attitude was awful — cold, dismissive, and clearly uninterested in doing her job. I felt unwelcome the moment I walked in, and the overall atmosphere in the shop was uncomfortable and unprofessional. To prove how ridiculous this was, I went to another post office down the road and had the exact same refund processed immediately with no issues whatsoever, and with friendly service. This branch either doesn’t know what it’s doing or simply can’t be bothered. Complete waste of time. Avoid.

I have just been in to the post office to send a parcel via the royal mail App. Due to cognative issues i can get very forgetful, and not great at technology. The young man on the counter helped me print the label out, he was very patient , spoke slowly and calmly even though I was slow. He is a credit to the team. The lady on the post office counter was also helpful. I have never had anything other than great service from them all.

Unprofessional and uncomfortable experience. The staff member repeatedly referred to me as “Matilda,” which was neither my name nor appropriate. Combined with a cold, dismissive attitude, it felt belittling and unnecessary. There was a very strong Miss Trunchbull energy — authoritarian, abrupt, and lacking basic courtesy. A public service environment should feel neutral and respectful, not mocking or hostile. Customer service standards here need serious improvement. I won’t be returning unless behaviour towards customers changes.

1 star for this rubbish post office and the condescending post lady who was so unhelpful in me delivering a letter I just asked her for a bit of tape to seal the envelope and she started mouthing on about that she’s not a stationary shop loool . Don’t know what kind of post office don’t have a bit of sellotape . So unhelpful in the time of need and so rude .

Such lovely and helpful service here thank you to the lady at the counter who even lent me the cello tape to put my label on for me saved the day thank you ☺️
