G & J Pitt Family Bakers

After reading about their award in the Telegraph & Argus I was excited to try their food and I was not disappointed! You want to get there early as it gets busy queueing out the door with limited parking. It definitely lives up to the hype, I ordered their famous ham salad, chocolate éclair and Vanilla buttercream sprinkle cake. The sandwich was plentiful fresh and very tasty, just reminded me of my childhood going to the bakery where I used to live and order the same sandwich. They have a selection of hot and cold sandwiches to chose from and the bread rolls are amazing! The baked goods are worth the drive alone, mouthwatering delicious! I especially loved the vanilla buttercream sprinkle cake but there is a wide selection of desserts for any discerning sweet tooth. They also do fresh baked pies in different flavours. I would definitely recommend, if I could give it a thousand stars I would, great fresh wide ranging selection!!!!!

I live around the corner and decided to take some of their bakes for some visitors. They were gorgeous, delicious home made classics, I feel like going in everyday for those treats which are amazing value too but might have to shed a good few pounds so I can enjoy to my hearts content. Probably one of the best bakeries in the district without all the social media hype which is even better as the staff are very humble and down to earth.

These ladies know how to make & fill a sandwich.. My usual ham salad sandwich is/was delicious as always. Everything in my sandwich was fresh crisp lettuce, onions, ripe tomato, all in a well packed freshly baked Tea Cake.. EXCELLENT & THE BEST COLD SANDWICHES..

The service is excellent staff are pleasant and very helpful. The sandwichs well there are not enough words which could credit them enough, fresh tasty and remarkable quality. All the pastries are freshly made and melt in your mouth. Would recommend to the world.
