Rainbow Phones (Sales and Repairs)

Took my iPhone 8 in yesterday, to get a new glass on back & front screen fixed. I took it in at half 12 and was told they were busy with repairs so come back at 4:00pm. I was passing the shop earlier than expected (roughly 3:30pm - 3:40pm) popped in and it was ready to collect. An absolute 5 star experience in my opinion. The young gent on the counter couldn’t be more helpful & polite. He’s an honour to your business and helped me with every question I had. The phone was fixed perfectly & they even fitted a screen protector for me. Good price and good turn around. I can’t do anything but respect them. Such great, fast service and honest deals when you ask about different options. Repaired son's phone but then he upgraded and they helped swap over all photos, data, contacts, etc. Just brilliant! Some time I'll save up enough for my phone upgrade from Rainbow Phones instead of just my 2 kids (frequent) repairs 😂

I gave in my PS5 with a faulty HDMI, waited days and got it back, they fixed the HDMI but now the disk drive was not working and I couldn’t even do a software update! I called up telling them it’s not working and if they could take it back to sort as it was working when I gave it to them I still have a disc inside… and they were not willing to. I opened the console up myself and the 24 pin ribbon is missing for the optical drive. I told them this and they said “ I doubt it’s in the workshop”. Normally I’d do this repair myself but due to having less free time I thought I’d get it done by supposed “professionals”.

I’ve been a regular customer at this mobile shop for repairs over the years, but my recent experience has completely changed my opinion. Around two years ago, I purchased an iPhone 14 Pro Max from them. A few days ago, the phone suddenly became blocked. I returned to the shop seeking support, only to be told that they needed the original receipt. Unfortunately, I no longer had it — my oversight — but I was shocked to learn that they don’t keep any purchase records on their end either. They refused to assist me or refer the issue to their supplier without that receipt. I then took the phone directly to Apple, where I was informed that the device is blocked and cannot be unlocked — effectively making it useless. Based on this experience, I strongly advise others to avoid this shop. The lack of accountability and the possibility that they’re unknowingly (or knowingly) selling blocked or questionable (stolen) devices is deeply concerning. Be cautious and shop elsewhere. Response to their reply - Their response to my review is laughable and only further proves my concern. Instead of accepting responsibility or showing a shred of professionalism, they’ve defaulted to the same excuse they give to every negative review: “You didn’t buy it from us.” It’s a convenient line they use to dismiss any issue — and one that should concern potential customers. As I already mentioned, I personally visited the store, and they openly admitted they do not keep any sales records. That’s shocking for a business that deals in expensive electronics. How do you sell high-value devices and keep no proof of transactions whatsoever? The fact remains: I bought my iPhone 14 Pro Max from them — and two years later, it’s now completely blocked. I took it to Apple directly, and they confirmed it cannot be unblocked. That means the phone is now a brick — useless. And the store washed their hands of it. I have since escalated the matter — and based on my experience and their shady denial tactics, it’s become clear this place is either selling stolen devices, or they’re so careless that they can’t guarantee what they’re selling isn’t. Avoid this shop at all costs. The risk is absolutely not worth it.

Excellent service. Very pleasant and professional. Purchased IPhone for daughter. Was fully working but unfortunately after a day they was fault (not shop fault), took it to shop instantly refunded money (had proof of purchase) no questions asked as they didn’t have the same phone in stock. Will definitely be going again just for the service provided.
