At The Butterfly Rooms we have a wide range of gifts for all occasions from baby clothes, homewares to cosmetics and jewellery. All made in the UK or produced ethically by fair trade organisations. Our commitment to the UK and local artists means we provide support to British companies whilst offering the customer a beautiful and inspiring selection of products.

On the first floor of The Butterfly Rooms is the newly opened paint your own pottery studio, Salt Pots. A relaxing place to create your own unique gifts and keepsakes, from baby hand and footprints on a mug or plate to money boxes or photo frames, while enjoying a tea or coffee and slice of cake. Salt Pots also offers pottery painting parties for up to 20 people and takes commission orders for personalised gifts.

On the second floor of The Butterfly Rooms you can find Abi’s cosy sewing studio, SewYou. Since 2008 her family-run Yorkshire business has been producing unique gifts and accessories, specialising in made-to-order products that won't break the bank. Each item is individually hand-made using traditional materials and techniques, adding that special touch to a birthday or wedding. Whether you need a personalised banner for the children's room, or customised bunting to match your kitchen cupboards, she will make your ideas happen.

The steep climb to the upper floor of The Butterfly Rooms brings you to David Starley’s open studio, the only publicly-open working artist's studio in Saltaire. In a small, truly garret-like space there will be paintings in progress, some drying and others awaiting exhibitions and gallery displays. As a commercial artist, most paintings are normally for sale, direct from the artist. This is a small informal venue. If David's in, he'll be happy to talk about his work. If not feel free to look around but "MIND THE WET PAINT" signs are not for show.
