A very large park with an ancient fossil of a tree base, a lovely water feature and fountain. Plenty of place to stroll around, a lake with a cafe and if you like you may picnic on the grass in summer or nap like I did.
It's a lovely green park a little way out of the centre of Bradford. There are some Mughal gardens ( a bit like alhambra style gardens) - though the water features were a bit foamy - a large lake and other features. It nicely complements a visit to the art gallery. There is a reasonable amount of parking - but I can imagine parking being difficult on a sunny Summer weekend.
Saw the Turner Prize here, fantastic park and old building which houses thr exhibition. We managed to get parked for free in the nearby small car park. The volunteers were all very friendly, there were lots of people. They had done a great job of exhibiting the works in the large rooms. Well worth seeing
A lovely, well-maintained park. We’re not from the area, but during our visit we didn’t see any of the unsavoury behaviour that you sadly come across in some parks these days. It felt safe to walk around, has a beautiful lake, well-kept gardens, and a fountain area. The children’s playground in Lister Park is one of the largest we’ve ever come across - really impressive!
My local park and I love it. The area is grand and the Park is beautiful. Especially the Botanic park. Parkrun on a Saturday morning, boating, 3 cages for football/ basketball, 2 tennis courts (needs updating) and a playground Be nice if they add a Calisthenics workout area (just the bars work station)
