By far one of the most frustrating and disappointing gym experiences I have ever had. I rejoined this gym after several years, expecting a fresh start. Instead, within days of joining, I was confronted with an alleged outstanding charge from 2022 that I was completely unaware of and had never been informed about at the time. I was then expected to resolve this four years later, which is completely unreasonable. From the moment I raised this issue, communication from management was extremely poor. I sent multiple emails, attended the gym every single day trying to speak to a manager, and repeatedly had to explain the same situation to different members of staff. I was consistently ignored and left chasing a resolution. There was no genuine attempt to investigate or fairly resolve my concerns. The eventual “resolution” offered by management was simply to terminate my membership, rather than address the issue properly. No real effort was made to resolve the dispute itself. I was told that I would be refunded the cost of the month’s membership and the joining fee; however, we are now threee weeks on and I have not received a single penny, nor any further communication. This poor handling is made worse by the condition of the gym itself, which is severely run down. Mirrors are broken, machines are regularly out of order, dumbbells are missing, and the sauna is rarely (if ever) working despite being advertised. The car park is full of potholes and poorly maintained, and the overall environment feels neglected. For a business charging ongoing membership fees, the lack of investment in facilities and the dismissive attitude towards member concerns is shocking. The conduct of management throughout this experience has been unprofessional and disappointing. Overall, this gym offers poor facilities, poor communication, and even worse customer service. I would strongly advise anyone considering joining to look elsewhere, as resolving even basic issues appears to be a struggle once they have your money.

Went to visit the gym. Mirrors smashed and generally stunk around the gym. Whilst I was I was there a woman came up to the member of staff I was with. She complained that she wanted to use the ladies section and there was men in there. The staff member spoke to the men in question who basically told him to no. I mentioned to the member of staff that it was very cheeky that he did that. He said "it's okay I know him" No it's not okay. If my partner wanted to train there that section is specifically for women. Get a hold of your members. If they don't follow rules. Ban them. It's clear this gym is run down. I took my money elsewhere.

Great gym of a decent size. Need to update some machinery and fix those broken. Make it obvious that the Ladies gym is not for men to work out upstairs or walk through. Steam room and sauna could do with fixing but told they won’t. Never had time to use them in the past but would do now. The classes used to be great and varied but now just the same old classes. I attend quite a few of them and the teachers need to mix them up every few weeks like they used to years ago but they don’t. Plus, if it’s an hour’s class, make it an hour and not 50-55 minutes. Gym members take the mickey by keeping permanent lockers and never clearing out every visit. I don’t think the staff care to check. Speaking of the staff, Julie is lovely and I hope she reads this and listens to the feedback. Over the years there’s been some stand out staff but they eventually leave, including the class instructors. Apart from Lucy and Michael, I don’t find the other staff friendly. They just stand and chat with the young lads all day! The car park needs sorting out, too many pot holes. Kents need to tell the local children to keep out for the safety of themselves and of the gym members. I know I’ve generally given negative feedback but the positives are what remained in the past. I do like this gym overall as I’m clinging onto what it used to be.

Good gym for getting fitter and staying in shape. Has plenty of lockers, good size and private car parking space (alot of gyms lack this and they tend to have shared parking spaces!) Staff are always helpful and available when you need them. However, at one point in time, they have both, steam room and sauna. During covid, these got shut down and never turned on ever since. This was one reason why I love coming to this gym. This is shut down for good and the staff have already said that it will not be opening up again. There could be a number of reason for this, such as members abusing the thermostat to get the place hotter, or simply because it's too costly to run but whatever it maybe, it's a shame it's no longer opening again. Another let down is the "ladies only" section. This used to be a thing a few years ago but due to the abnormality certain people have this day and age, they believe a man can transform into a woman and use the ladies only section absolutely is insane! The price is still decent and quote competitive with other local gyms, however, many other gyms are starting to open 24 hours. Would like to see some big improvement happen to this gym and I may concider coming back.
