Owners very welcoming to new comers gyms got all you need had a good experience working away from home
Equipment is rubbish, most of the bars are bent and the ropes for the cable machines are in a state. They also won't let you deadlift even though they have a designated "deadlift" area they will complain about you being too loud if you do.
The owners are really chill and it’s the ideal gym if you want to go work out with not much distractions.. only costs 20 a month plus you can pay in cash 💴 too.. location is great too as it’s near the city centre and has many food places nearby. I prefer this gym as it’s lowkey! 👌🏼
Positives: Clean, Friendly, Has a boxing gym, Open until 10pm. Negatives: It used to be in much better shape, now the weights/dumbells are falling to pieces. Weights are not labelled etc... Appears to be no form of maintenance. Used to be excellent, now its just Okay.
Please support this fab and friendly gym! I was in Bradford for a couple of days with work last week and searched for gyms in the area. I'm a powerlifter so don't tend to use commercial gyms as they don't have the same equipment for lifters. I found this one on google and it was perfect for what I needed: 2 benches, a squat rack and deadlift area with plenty of plates, free weights, machines for everything a powerlifter, body builder or just someone looking to keep in shape will need. They have cardio machines as well, and a boxing and MMA suite with evening classes available even to one-off visitors. For a powerlifter, the only minor things missing are lift-specific bars (dead, squat and bench) and monolift, but honestly the bars they had were fine for a couple of days away; plenty of knurling and they moved freely. The staff couldn't have been more helpful-both over the phone when I enquired about one-off visits and when we arrived at the building but couldn't find the entrance!! The man on the desk popped down to meet us and show us up! The members were all very chatty and happy to spot/hand out if needed, no negative egos that I noticed. And at just £3.50 a session it's an absolute bargain! With budget commercial gyms setting up in the area, unfortunately the more specialised gyms with a bit of atmosphere like this one will start to struggle, so please if you're living in the area or just visiting and looking for somewhere cheap and friendly to train, pop in and show your support.
