Visited in October. I am writing this review after my formal complaint went unanswered. I paid full price anticipating a relaxing Japanese head spa experience, including features like the Japanese waterfall. Instead, the service and facility were seriously disappointing (the waterfall wasn't used) and presented a safety hazard. The service lacked basic customer communication. I received a harsh head scrub, and the staff failed to announce steps, causing distress when the steamer was applied without warning. The relaxing atmosphere was nonexistent due to loud, non-spa related music playing from an adjacent room within their facility. The most concerning aspect was safety. The floor was completely soaked after the treatment, creating an immediate slip hazard, yet no warning or slippers were provided. I nearly slipped due to the wet floor and ended up with wet socks. Furthermore, there were exposed electrical wires (from a blanket) lying on the wet floor, which is a thoughtless and hazardous setup. Finally, the treatment did not last the amount of time stated. While there were several other minor issues, the core safety and service problems listed above are the most important warnings for potential customers. Save your money and go elsewhere. The service I received at the japanses head spa experience in Ossett was a hundred times better, the atmosphere was relaxing, every step was explained, and the environment was safe.

This was my first experience of a Japanese head/facial spa treatment. I had an amazing experience which left me feeling refreshed. I've only scored down 1 star as I felt that the lady who did my treatment even though she was excellent, could have advised on what she was doing and for how long for. I had an eye covering and I didn't know what was happening. Even though it had been mentioned in our consultation, the steam box shocked me a little and I didn't know how long I was going to be in it for. She explained about the cold/hot water during the treatment which was perfect. Just a few pointers from me, 1) talk to clients to brief them on what your doing. 2) Try not to bang/drop things as it can make a client jump.3)Try make the room darker. The lady who did my treatment/massage applied perfect pressure throughout for me but others may find the pressure too much. For me the whole experience was fabulous just those 3 points would have made it perfect.

This was a gift bought for me mum for her birthday. To begin with the ‘clinic’ was a derelict building and difficult to find. We were greeted by two women who never introduced themselves and never asked us who we were. One lady took us into a room for our treatment and talked us through our scalp analysis including a photograph of our scalps. This was probably the best part about the whole treatment. The lady told us that they don’t talk during the treatment to promote relaxation which we both really appreciated. We were instructed to lay on the bed and prepare ourselves for our treatment, my bed was comfortable with built in heaters however my mums wasn’t. I informed the lady doing my hair that my hair was naturally curly, so she was mindful of my hair condition. 5 minutes into the treatment there was very loud Asian inspired dance music coming from the room next door within the clinic, I initially didn’t say anything as I hoped they would have taken care of this disturbance of their own initiative however they must have assumed this was appropriate. After 10 minutes I decided to ask them what the noise was, to which one of the ladies replied “training” and continued with the treatment. Neither of the women did anything about this. I found it difficult to relax and unwind but felt like I had already done enough by pointing out this problem. Some time later my mum also asked them if they could have the music turned down as she was also struggling to relax and eventually one of the staff listened and left the room. The music was turned down but not off and unfortunately we could still hear it playing. The treatment itself didn’t live up to our expectation, the Indian head massage wasn’t what was advertised and was cut short from 90 minutes to 60 minutes. My mum received no massage and certainly wasn’t impressed. After the treatment, they informed us that they were finished and offered us to dry our hair. My hair was left extremely knotty and difficult to brush afterwards, however my hair did feel amazing after I had finally brushed it. I didn’t take them up on the offer of hair drying. The scalp analysis afterwards was interesting and very effective. I asked to go to the toilet to which there was no toilet roll, no drying facilities and the bathroom was messy. Overall the treatment was okay, disappointing I paid how much I did and the outcome. The ladies could improve on their customer service and overall skills in the “head spa” department

We have been meaning to try the Japanese Head Spa for ages after recommendations from a friend. What an amazing experience, the whole process was so relaxing and informative. I now know what to do to help stop the oil build up. I left feeling lighter, my hair wasn’t as heavy or oily. I will definitely be coming back again the girls were so lovely.
