I had a peaceful three nights stay. Pitch was fully serviced and a decent size. I received a warm welcome on arrival and given information about the site. There are a couple of villages a mile away that had pubs and a convenience store.
Disappointed with this park. Only a handful of touring caravans/ motorhomes arranged in a circle and very close to each other. The majority of other caravan were obviously seasonal pitches because the site was dead quiet. Strange feel about this site with no site activity at all. The toilet block in dire need of upgrading. Clean enough, but no privacy as the men’s urinals are in the same room as the communal wash hand basins. There was a lack of reception for many hours during the day. All in all, it functioned as a site, but lacked the character you would normally experience on a caravan site. Strange! We would look for a more normal active site should we return to the area,
Very disappointed with some aspects of this site, namely the shower facilities. Got 6 seconds of water b4 it stopped which was useless for hair or body washing. Then the water flooded the floor. Ridiculous. Toilets were very narrow and why is the loo roll sited so high up on the wall?? As for the signs which the site groundsman thought fit to situate around our caravan - they were plain rude! He put 2 out round the caravans saying keep off the grass. This is unacceptable; we're paying to stay on your site and expect to be able to use facilities and grassed areas to relax. Doesn't look like anyone monitors these reviews which may be why the site is never improved despite customer's recommendations.
A bit disappointed after all the reviews. We stayed here for 6 nights in our campervan We liked the area , cycled around the local area which was nice. Easy walk to both local villages for pubs, takeaways and shops. Good bus service right outside the park. Didn't like the layout of the pitches, felt a bit like being on a car park. A long walk to rubbish bins through static caravan park. The showers were the push button type which lasted for about 5 to10 seconds. The shower cubicle floor flooded and made getting dried and dressed very difficult . There were a lot of seasonal caravans on site.
Excellent well run and very friendly Caravan park. Well worth a visit.
