If your going to get electronic hardware. Don't! Without fail every single time I've got something from there i.e gaming controllers, headsets, computer hardwares it's always faulty in some way and need to be returned.. and in some cases you can't return without coverage. Nothing to fault with the staff but argos must have some kind of unwritten policy that defective products should be given away first to see if they don't get brought back. If I could give 0 stars I would
Staff polite and friendly. Store set out nice. Plenty of space. Easy to use computer books
Argoses garantee policy is not worth the paper it is written on. I purchased a microwave in Dec 24, all was fine with it until June 25 when it became faulty I returned it to the store where I bought it with the receipt to be told by the asst that with faulty items she had to check the brand/item because with some it was the responsibility of the maker, this was the case for and hand to contact them which when I did the number pointed me to their web site and I kept being sent round in circles. So I contacted Argos direct only to be told that because I bought the item online but picked up in-store the guarantee was with the maker and once they sorted that they would give me a code to pick up a replacement item in store, I just feel I'm being flobbed off.
I purchased Sony headphones which turned out to be faulty, So I tried to return them back to the store 2 days later for a refund, However when the young lady at the till started to process a refund, A sarcastic and rather rude lady working another til butted in and stopped her and said I need to call Sony to arrange a repair, even though they were 2 days old and within the 28 day return window. What a joke of a store, Purchase elsewhere!
Yes we are in a pandemic, and yes there are rules. However, this is the first place that made me and some fellow customers at the shop feel like we had the plague (condescending and unfriendly attitude). Unfriendly and cold experience compared to other shops. I will be sticking with Amzon from now on.
