Brookfoot Lake

Hard fishing but always well looked after. Nice members who will help out if needed

We came to this lake on the 16th of May 2023. I only started fishing approximately two years ago and I’ve not done much fishing whatsoever. However, I purchased a license for these lakes from the fishing tackle shop in Brighouse and I must say, I love coming to this lake, albeit my first time. I am registered blind and therefore I do ledgering this lake is perfect for ledgering. I can highly recommend these lakes and the entire area that these lakes are situated on as it is 100% accessible for everybody. I was on a pitch where it was fully wheelchair accessible and I was very close to the water indeed. I met several people there who had done the fishing for a very long time indeed, and one person in my opinion who I’d like to give a big shout out to is John who is a Scottish gentleman. He was so helpful with his insights and tips, I could not have been happier to have met such a very kind and caring man. These lakes are extremely well kept and I must say the amount of fish in there is phenomenal. This photograph is my first ever catch here and I was really impressed by the size. Please make sure you get your fishing license from the shop in Brighouse and come to the lakes. you will not be disappointed. Also there is car parking available bang opposite the lakes. These designated disabled parking bays are very accessible indeed and have plenty of room for you to manoeuvre. Should you require to use a wheelchair etc

Beautiful members only fishing venue, stunning views, very peaceful, friendly bailiffs and members. Very reasonable membership fees.
