Walk: Fryston Trails - Short Route
A short walk around some areas of The Fryston Country Trails, in Fryston near Castleford West Yorkshire. The route is mainly flat and takes in countryside paths, with viewing points along the way such as horse stables and large bodies of open water/lakes. There are often lots of butterflies along the initial walking path too so great photo opportunity. There are suitable stopping points to have a picnic etc if the weather is nice. There are also further paths along the route if you wish to deviate from the route and walk further if you prefer longer walks.

Walk: Pontefract
This is a lovely short circuit of the town of Pontefract, made famous by the eponymous liquorice cakes and the death of Richard II in the town's castle. The reserve covers waterways, woodland and grassland with open water sections to the site as well. This is a lovely oasis to the pace of modern life and is seen as many in area as a place to find peace. There are several paths to take so you can explore at your own pace.
