Booked this hotel for my 80th birthday dinner on 10th November. From making the booking and pre ordering main courses for 22 people through to the dinner on the night, everything was organised perfectly making the event a great success. The service from the bar for pre dinner drinks through to the dining room was excellent thanks to the professionalism of the staff involved. Nothing was too much trouble for them and it was great to be served by a happy smiling workforce, something you don't always get these days. The food and service was excellent and made for a perfect evening enjoyed by everyone. Thank you so much to all involved. Highly recommended and excellent value for money.

I travelled up to Carnaby - the first time I'd ever been. Having been recommended the hotel by the owner of an automotive business in Bridlington, I had called the hotel in advance and spoken to one of the owners (Rob). He was very obliging. The day my aunt and I arrived - after an almost 4 hour car drive - we were shattered and therefore delighted when we were escorted to our room. The executive twin room was very nicely decorated and had everything, and more, that we needed. The beds were comfy, the heating was efficient, and the thick door curtains helped keep in the heat whilst keeping out any noise. As for the food and service. Excellent. We were treated incredibly well and the plates were clean at the end - that says it all! The staff were very convivial and treated us well. The following morning we were surprised at how quickly the hot breakfast came out. You may have expected it to have been sitting around waiting to be served and yet this was piping hot, fresh, well-cooked and very tasty. We had requested a late departure which gave us a couple more hours to relax before we sampled the hotel lunch. Many options and yet again, the food was delicious. They even provided a box to take away any leftovers. We then needed to leave so paid up and left in a taxi (the hotel has a list of local taxi numbers should you need one). We both felt as though we'd had a mini holiday even though we'd only spent one night away. I would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone. There was ample parking within the grounds, and the property was well-maintained. Not being from the area, we were really pleased with the hotel and all it offered. I would most definitely return given the opportunity. Thank you to everyone that made our stay an enjoyable one.

My recent visit, regrettably, was defined by a series of culinary and service shortcomings that made the meal far more memorable for the wrong reasons. The garlic bread ‘with cheese’ arrived almost entirely lacking the cheese it promised, and was so overcooked it snapped rather than cut; closer in texture to a brittle biscuit than a warm, inviting pizza. The chips appeared to have been refried multiple times, resulting in a dry, exhausted texture that suggested they’d long since lost any intention of being enjoyable. The mushroom pizza continued this theme of absence; barely any cheese, and a flavour dominated solely by a blunt, unseasoned tomato note. There was no depth, no herbs, no balance; just an overwhelmingly singular tomato flavour that made each bite feel unfinished. When the plates were collected and I was asked whether everything had been satisfactory, I answered honestly. I noted that had we not been both starving and in a hurry, we would have returned the dishes and gone elsewhere, as the meal had been thoroughly disappointing. The response; a brief, almost mechanical ‘Oh, I’m sorry to hear that’, was where the interaction ended. No follow-up, no curiosity, no attempt to understand or remedy the situation. Taken together, the experience suggested a kitchen and front-of-house operating on autopilot, with little attention to execution, flavour, or even the most basic standards of hospitality. It was a visit defined not by errors that could be corrected, but by a general sense of indifference.

Another fabulous meal at Manor Court! Friendly welcome from all team members as always. Fantastic service from all staff members working on the restaurant floor. We ordered the battered cod which was very good served with a side salad and presented to a high standard. We also had two puddings which again I know are home cooked and absolutely delicious. Thank you for your great hospitality. We will definitely be back again. Claire & Richard
