Recently bought car at Glasshoughton as I was looking for a very specific small car and Glasshoughton were the only dealer for miles who had exactly what I wanted. travelled from Harrogate about hour and a half, saw the car I wanted, test drove it, did a deal to trade my (big) car, sorted out papework and was done in a couple of hours. No pushy salesman, in fact 2 lovely lads, Ben and another lad (I didnt get his name). Ben gave me a very very good trade in price, much more than than I expected. my only irritation was that my car was 3/4 full of petrol - about £60 and the car I bought was running on fumes! They would only give me a tenner for petrol! and I had to really argue for that. (Id have been happy with 30 quid) Hindsight, when I change my car again I will make sure its empty! But I will definitely go back to Glasshoughton cars again, people there when I was, some were on 2nd and 3rd return visits buying cars again and spoke highly of these lads and their cars. This is the best car Ive ever had, deal done quickly with honesty and no bullshit. thank you Glasshoughton, would recommend to anyone. But please.......... dont be mean about petrol!!! thanks.

Absolutely amazing experience from Ben. He got me the car I wanted and made it even better for me. Nothing was too much trouble and he has made the whole process enjoyable and relaxing. He listened and provided with great customer service at all times. Would highlight recommend and will definitely be using him every time moving forward.
Bought an Audi TTS today, unfortunately a few miles up the road I encountered an engine issue. The guys were really helpful, offered to fix it and have it delivered to me in Scotland. I decided not to go ahead with the sale and they refunded the money there and then with no hassle. Really friendly team. Would recommend
!!!!BEWARE!!!! ((((BEWARE)))) DO NOT BUY HERE Bought an £11k car advertised with Service History and Advertised as just had a service including gearbox service.. When in the process of completing the paperwork I asked where was the service book.? I was told it was in the car.. When at home I discovered there was NO Service Book..!! It now transpires that this Vehicle has only had 3 services in it's 8.5 year lifetime and 83k mile plus one very questionable Invoice for a supposed Service. A car should have a Major service once a year regardless of milage and more frequent for high mileage use. On my journey home 175 miles I noticed a knocking noise at lower speed from under the car and also the handbrake does Not hold on a slope or hill which if not aware is ((DANGEROUS)). I waited a few days to see if anything else would come to light and need attention before Contacting BEN..The final straw for me was I had a puncture and the Garage who replaced the tyre called me into the workshop to show me how ridiculously tight the wheel bolts were.. it took 2 technicians about 20 mins to undo the bolts and had to beat the wheel off the car.. (( The garage immediately said this wheel has not been off for at least Several Years at Minimum)) So it has not had the wheels removed for any recent service work..!! I emailed Ben and mentioned the issues and asked if he could phone me to try and resolve them. BEN left me a voicemail the next day immediately denying the service book incident/conversation and I had got it wrong. I have a witness with me and past dealings with car sales operatives have taught me never to take a salesman's word.. So my witness recorded the purchase on my behalf (just incase))!! When I eventually spoke to BEN on the phone, he denied he said the service book was in the Car, BUT I Have Proof. He went on to deny he had put a new MOT on the Car prior to my collection and argued the point with me.. (( I have the Certificate in my Hand as we spoke))?? He only accepted that he had in fact put a new MOT on the car when I pointed out the finance company requested it.. Next BEN told me that wheels are never removed when a service is carried out on any Car.!! I Beg to differ on that, I 100% no that is Incorrect.. Luckily I had informed BEN at the start of the conversation I would be recording our conversation and asked if he was happy to continue, He said he was. I made this clear at the start of the call as he had already denied things in the prior voicemail he left for me.. ((More Evidence)) Luckily for me the recording demonstrates his aggressive and totally unhelpful manner towards me throughout our entire conversation. He continuously over talked me and I had to ask him to let me speak.. Seconds later he continued over talking me again throughout. BEN was very unhelpful throughout.. He expects me to do a 350 mile round trip to drop the car off and leave it to be repaired.. And then another 350. mile journey to collect afterwards.. a total of 700 miles He knew it wasn't worth my whole doing this especially as I have to arrange a driver to collect me after dropping off the car and again to collect the car. Ben played on the fact it was a lot of inconvenience for me to drop the vehicle back. He continuously said bring it back bring it back we'll give you a refund he knew this would cause me weeks of inconvenience and played on this.. He just kept repeating it.. bring it back if your not happy.. to the point it would have been very intimidating especially to some people or a female. I do not trust the MOT done By BEN due to the brake and suspension faults not being picked up during the MOT. (Which they should have been) I do not trust the apparent Vehicle Service as the Wheels were not Removed for proper inspection of brakes. Steering and Suspension.. Any good Mechanic or Garage will confirm wheels are always removed for an annual Service.! ((((BEN told Me he Has 21yrs EXPERIENCE and wheels are Not taken OFF for a Service)))). I think someone needs to do there research.!! BEN had no desire to sort this out.??
