Great value, friendly salesperson without any hard selling or hassle and a fair value on our part exchange. Abs the sales executive was friendly professional and easy to buy from. No hard selling or pressure just looking to make sure we got the deal we wanted. The car was very well presented, as were several others we viewed at the site unlike other used cars from similar "car superstore" style places we visited while searching for a used car. Would recommend anyone to speak to Abs when looking to replace your car!
I am very satisfied with the purchase of my car. The customer service was excellent, with a high level of professionalism and genuine interest in the customer. Mr. Marcin Majewski was very helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the entire buying process. I highly recommend.
I purchased a car from the Castleford branch around 1.5 years ago and paid £489.00 for a 27 month approved warranty. I mistakenly thought that this would provide peace of mind if anything were to go wrong with the car, however unfortunately a fault developed with the ECU and it needs replacing at a cost of over £1,000.00. When I tried to claim this through the warranty, they refused to pay out and sent a snip of the fine print that says the car electronics are excluded! Be very wary, if you're thinking of taking out a warranty then read the fine print thoroughly, it would probably be worth not paying it as that nearly £500 would be very welcome towards the repair right now. They sell to you very quickly and definitely don't explain what is and isn't covered by the warranty. There is also no willingness from Motorpoint to contribute towards any of the costs, in their own words: "I would once again like to extend my sincere apologies for any distress this situation may have caused you, however Motorpoint would not look to contribute towards any repair costs due to the time that has elapsed since your initial purchase." I.e a 27 month warranty but only if you claim after a few months! Very disappointed and unfortunately couldn't recommend them to anyone. Just seen the reply, confirms what I was saying. They wash their hands of any responsibility for the warranty, it's all '3rd party' and 'take it up with them'. As far as Motorpoint are concerned it's a load of cash to add on to the sale and you don't get anything when you try to claim. Car was filthy when I picked it up and I thought fair enough, they did offer to clean it for £500 before I picked it up, however didn't realise that it would literally leave it in minging condition. Under the bonnet was full of leaves and I had to stop half the way home to clean the steering wheel as it was so grimy. On reflection it just highlights their attitude to everything...minimum effort, minimum customer service.
I purchased a 2018 Kia Cee'd from this organisation in October 2024 paying over £10000 for the vehicle. Within 6 months I noticed a small lifting of the paintwork (about 15mm long) on the roof of the car near the fin revealing the metal underneath. After having had the car washed the peeling grew significantly to around 150mm x 90mm and after reporting it to Motorpoint they took it back for a respray since they said that they had resprayed it prior to selling it and so admitted full liability. The repair took 1 day. After collecting it I noticed that the repair had already started to bubble and was clearly unsatisfactory so I had to book the car in again for a second repair (2 days). Having collected the car for a third time I now find that the paintwork is discoloured and will need a further repair to put right. I am self employed and need the car for work and so far have lost £650 in lost Sales as a result of them selling in my opinion a vehicle of inferior quality. They have said that they cannot help me any further and so I feel badly let down by them.
We purchased a Fiat 500e back in July 2025. The initial service was ok. The salesman was pleasant and we did a PX on our old Fiat 500. The were a couple of minor issues that they sorted out too. On collection we did a walk round and signed for the vehicle and left. They have a warranty system with a third party company (Sectrum ) but any issues that arise in the first 10 days they deal with them at the dealership. We did encounter two issues within the 10 days. Firstly the volume control button was cracked and secondly the low battery indicator came on saying the key fob battery was low. Again they took the car back in and fitted the replacement button and allegedly they changed the key fob battery. We went away happily! That weekend we went away for the summer and the car wasn’t used for 6 weeks. On return the key fob warning light came on again, so we assumed they hadn’t changed the battery so I went to do it myself! On taking the back of the fob it came to light the emergency key blade was missing. We raised this with Motorpoint, who states that du to the time lapse in notifying them they couldn’t do anything about it. They also stated that we had signed to day that everything was fine with the vehicle on collection! After a couple of weeks going backwards and forwards they finally offered us a goodwill gesture of half the cost of the blade if we purchased it first and send the invoice to them. They still insinuated that the key was there when they changed the fob battery. Something that I don’t believed they did as we had not accessed the fob and the blade hadn’t jumped out of its own accord! We tried to reason with them, but they were adamant that it was our responsibility as we had signed for the car and that included disclaimers! WARNING Take your vehicle to pieces on collection and they state you have signed and checked everything . Clearly nobody takes keys to pieces as you expect it to be complete and fit for purpose. Begrudgingly we had to accept the 50% contribution as we was just going round in circles. Wendy on reception at Castleford was the only member of staff that understood, but she wasn’t in a position to make the decision! Totally exasperating!
