Lovely pub. Went for Sunday dinner when my parents were visiting, we didn’t book but they managed to squeeze us in on a table by the bar. The food was great, it was carvery style, food and staff were both lovely. My only issue was the table/ chair , but that’s only because I’m tall and my legs wouldn’t fit under

Review of pub/restaurant. Small hotel close to Catterick Racecourse. Situated on a main road but with a fair amount of car parking. Busy at times. An older stone exterior hides a bland interior in need of some refurbishment, especially furniture and furnishings. Friendly and efficient staff. Food served quickly, perhaps not cooked to order. Fairly large menu of mainly pub favourites, reasonable prices including drinks. However the food we had, Beef Wellington and Black and Blue Burger, was very salty and the burger very oily, presumably fried rather than grilled.

Perfect family spot with fantastic Sunday carvery! The Farmers Arms at Brompton on Swale has become our family's go-to spot. It's in a brilliant location with a lovely walking route from the school - perfect for getting some exercise before tucking into their hearty Sunday carvery. The carvery is outstanding value for money without compromising on quality. What really stands out is their children's menu - a refreshing change from the usual nuggets and pizza options you find everywhere else. As parents, we appreciate the thought put into providing proper variety for little ones. We've visited in the evenings too, and the food quality remains consistently excellent with plenty of choices for both adults and children. The staff are always welcoming and create a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be returning again and again. Highly recommended for families looking for quality food in a friendly setting!

Was looking for somewhere local to take my elderly mam out for lunch. Not easy to find a pub actually open on a Monday lunchtime around here. Anyway, we have passed this pub many times, and actually tried a few times to call in and the car park was rammed full so we went elsewhere. However, this time we got in. It was 12.00pm and we were the first few in, but soon quite a few people had filtered in which was quite good considering in was a Monday lunchtime. My mum had the home-made pie of the day, which was lovely. I think if I went back I’d have that. Me and the Mrs had Burgers, mine the beef, my wife the chicken. Both were really nice and the fries were brilliant. I had a slight issue with my burger, but the manager sorted it no problem at all. Credit to him. My mam had the crumble pudding with custard which was really tasty. There’s loads of offers on as well, like two parmo’s for £25 on a Monday, so I think we’ll have to try them soon. There’s a massive beer garden out the back, with a nice play area. We will have to bring our grandson for a play soon.
