We stayed here as a family of four (2 kids under 8). Upon arrival we spoke to the manager who directed us to our pitch and advised us how many others were due to arrive (pre-booked) so we knew how busy it could get, however despite an influx of arrivals there was still a lot of space on the field for the children to play and mingle with children from other tents in this central area. At the foot of the site is a rocky trench that all the children loved to play in, which at points during the day had a herd of sheep passing by from field to field which was a very welcoming sight. The showers, toilets etc are immaculate and very well maintained, with plenty of loo roll. The barn is very large for parties to sit or solo if you want to read a book etc. inside. There’s also a huge map on the wall to show you where you can visit during your stay with driving and walking times and distances. Ingleton is a single road away and takes 5-10 minutes. There there is a chippy, a big kids play area and an outdoor swimming pool as pictured. The camp site does not have a swimming pool. Ingleton pool is quite expensive, so bare this in mind: £7.50 for an adult and £5.50 for a child and is limited to 1-hour slots. Back at the farm there is ample parking and lovely walks to Ribblehead Viaduct and two of the three major three-peaks visible from the site (Ingleborough and Whernside) and the route passes directly through farm the campsite is on so many-a-rambler you will see (but not near your tents!) Atmosphere is excellent, our children made some nice new friends and we all played together with Frisbees, tig, what time is it Mr. Wolf etc. The snack bar serves the best sausage and bacon butties money can buy and a host of other great choices including a full English, cakes, drinks (hot and cold) and has free wifi (though this goes off at 11pm until ~7am and phone signal here isn’t amazing unless you’re on EE - which is also hit and miss (see pics)) Negatives: Nothing negative. If I had to pick one I would say having to hike up the hill to use the loo! 😂 This site doesn’t have EHU, however at the back of the barn there are lockers with plugs in just make sure you bring your own plug head and cable as not all the sockets have a USB port. It is a non-returnable£1 a locker, however you can use the plugs and sit by them if you just want to charge and go. The barn shop sells essentials if you have forgotten things like hats, caps, ponchos, gloves, a bbq etc. Would return here again and again and again. Beautiful place. I’ve attached a pic of the menu from Ingleton Chippy and a picture of the ice cream trolley which is also in Ingleton, for your convenience, but please note, like the pool, they are not on site.

We had a great stay at Philpin Farm. Staff were charming and helpful. The setup is simple but all the basics are done well: Clean toilets and showers; large, sheltered communal area with a shop (daytime only), vending machines, WiFi (important as there is no phone signal) and a selection of mapped walks in the area; proximity to local landmarks; and ample parking. The surrounding landscape is stunning. As others have mentioned, the only drawbacks are the distance between your car and the tents plus the sloped camping area - but we knew about both of these in advance and it didn’t bother us. The other issue some might have is that it’s a relatively busy point that many walkers pass through in the day. Overall would highly recommend.

Lovely campsite, clean toilets/showers even provide toilet rolls and washing up liquid. Great food from snack bar, plus drinks and snacks during week from vending machines which are always well stocked. You can also buy air beds/blankets/hats/gloves/pegs etc etc. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

What a wonderful campsite! Very clean showers/toilet. Lovely and warm too. The barn was cozy and I loved that I could get a hot chocolate from the machine when I woke up at 5am freezing cold! Love the lockers where we could charge our phones. The information on the walls about local walks and sights was brilliant. Thank you 😊

A nice spot to stop and grab a drink and water resupply when doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks. There is a well stocked vending machine with refreshing drinks available here. Note if you want to use the vending machine it is card only.
