Christkindelmarkt is Leeds' annual traditional German Christmas market, bringing a little piece of Germany into the heart of the city centre. Millennium Square will be transformed into a scenic winter village featuring a variety of authentic wooden chalet stalls, cosy indoor retreats, a traditional carousel and daily programme of light entertainment
Now in its 6th year, the Harrogate Christmas Market has won several awards and is now recognised as one of the best in the UK. It has a strong Yorkshire theme and features many goods not normally found on the High Street. Hand-crafted gifts made in or near Yorkshire are favoured whilst locally produced food and drink feature on several very popular stalls.

This market has grown from a handful of cabins on the main shopping area of Sheffield to an entire Christmas experience of 50 cabins. Santas Grotto is at the heart of the event with the much loved Sleigh Bar and the traditional German Sausage grill. Santas Grotto guarantees a meeting with the big man himself with a photo opportunity and top quality gifts for every child.
Visited annually by over 6000 people, the Christmas Market presents high quality craft and food items, produced and sourced by independent makers, collectives and small organisations from Yorkshire and further afield. This year they have an expanded offer with additional stalls, a dedicated food and drink market, creative activities for young and old and performances by local musicians and community groups.
Last year saw almost 50 stalls, as well as entertainment throughout the day from local schools, choirs and bands. This year is set to be just as much festive fun with stalls, entertainment, a special appearance from Santa and, if you're really lucky, a glimpse at the dancing turkeys too! The market opens at 9am and the Christmas lights will be switched on by the Mayor, Councillor Melanie Davis at 4pm.

Otley Victorian Fayre has been running for many years. This is now a truly family day out with upwards of 17,000 people attending this fabulous, free event. This year the annual Richmond Town Christmas Market is being held on Sunday 3rd December from 10am – 4pm. As per previous years, this is a free Christmas event for all the family to enjoy. They are already working hard to bring together an eclectic mix of stalls and market areas, selling local produce, handcrafted goods, food stalls, as well as original inspirational Christmas gift ideas. Everything wil be located either in and around the town Market Place, inside the Town Hall (Chic Vintique Market), inside the Green Howards or the Indoor Market.

The Beverley Festival of Christmas is one of the largest Christmas Festival events in the UK. A one day event (always the 2nd Sunday in December) brings four fantastic Victorian Christmas Market locations and a whole range of festive entertainment to Beverley Town Centre. There's over 120 stalls attending, all selling a wide variety of handcrafted products, from Jewellery to Gin - the majority of which is made within the East Riding of Yorkshire.
