Amazing service — can’t recommend them enough! We bought a car for our son a few months ago from Darren and the aftercare has been outstanding. Just the other day, our own car broke down (which wasn’t even purchased from them). After putting a post up asking for a mechanic, Darren quickly got in touch to check that everything was okay. He helped arrange collection of the vehicle and had it repaired within 24 hours. I honestly can’t thank them enough. I had contacted several local Jaguar specialists, but none were willing to take it on. Darren went above and beyond to help us out. Thanks again, Darren — we will absolutely be recommending you
What can I say.. outstanding service from start to finish. Darren went above and beyond to get the car delivered to me on the day I bought it. Had a problem with the car a few weeks after purchase, Darren covered all costs for it to be repaired and even spoke directly with the garage doing the work and paid them directly to take away all the stress. Would 100% recommend for anyone to buy from Opal Motors as good, honest and trustworthy dealers are hard to find nowadays. I wouldn't go anywhere else in the future 👍🏻
I recently bought a Skoda Superb from Opal Motors in Conisbrough, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment I arrived, there were no pushy salespeople, just a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The owner, Darren, was fantastic—he was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. The price for the car was great, and to top it off, it came with a fantastic warranty, which gives me real peace of mind. I highly recommend Opal Motors to anyone looking for a new car. They offer great value and genuinely excellent customer service.
Bought a Tucson last week from opal, great service, no pressure and gave me a very fair price on the part ex, the car had 1 issue which they did tell me about prior and fixed this minor issue at my convenience which has now been fixed. Nice staff, laid back, will definitely go back when I next need a new car.
I rarely review a company in a negative manner, yet, unfortunately, in this case I have to. I used to work in the motor trade (finance side), and completely understand that when you're selling any vehicle, whether new or used, because of the complexity of the product, they'll be the odd "faults". Initial purchase ended up being a distance sale, as, it was the car size we needed and was described as " 1 owner, fdsh, low miles" ... 132 point check prior to delivery etc etc. The fact that we couldn't reserve in order to view didn't help, and "someone coming this afternoon" ... I paid over the phone and they kindly delivered a few days later. Personal circumstances stopped us from using the car for approx 5/6 weeks, yet when it eventually had a run, there was a grinding/rattling noise etc. The garage was informed immediately upon return and was told that we would investigate the cause. Email back was " Thanks for letting us know" Mobile mechanic came out ........ Called out to customer address to investigate rattling noise when engine running - Found Exhaust centre section cover tabs snapped. Fitted clamp to rear section of cover to stop rattling as means of temp repair. 29/08/2025 Diagnostics Carried out diagnostic health check & road test. No faults found on road test other than rattling exhaust. Multiple faults picked up on DVHC. Report attached to email No problem, an exhaust, it happens, yet there had been previous welding to the dpf too, the mechanic asked if the adblue had been topped up recently? ... " nope, we've barely used it" .... then a lovely list of diagnostic faults with his comment being " it's a possibility it has been mapped, as there's numerous faults shown up, looks like someone has been into the system to clear things off" Opal motors informed immediately. I'm here panicking now ... car could be illegal to drive etc!!! ... but, no pleasant reply this time, waiting, waiting, waiting... then me nagging, then them narky as the owner on holiday. So, these were the fault codes ...... P2BAE-00 P2BAE-02 P2BAF-00 P246B-00 UO2A5-87 X 2? B1412-96 B13C2-49 U3000-96 B14AD-31 U0447-29 B12B8-01 U0001-87 U2300-54 C2006-31 B1OCE-23 look them up, yet the first 5 are engine faults, yet no warnings on the dashboard. The service light it not on the dash even though at 0 miles???. Eventually they booked it in to the garage they use ... bareing in mind it's possibly illegal to drive and almost 30 mins away? Hence, unfortunately, we've gone down the section 75 route. There's been virtually no communication since they were made aware of the faults and, as the owner was an Operations director for a rather large motor dealer, I think they're just trying to "play the system". In complete honesty, we don't totally blame them for the condition of the car, as the previous owner probably masked the faults before trading in. Yet, there was supposed to be a 132 point check? ... The fact, that as soon as seeing the list of faults, there was very little communication and their attitude completely changed, is utterly appalling. We have gone through losing my mum, losing our dog and moving house, whilst this car has been sat waiting to be sorted? We can't even PX our other car to get one big enough for mum's parrot cage until this is refunded? Still unresolved, but I suppose if anyone takes anything from this ... get a diagnostic check and maybe an RAC/AA check done before purchasing from Opal Motors.
