Extremely disappointing. Was here for afternoon tea with a big party. The afternoon tea we were served did not match the menu description online. There was no water on the table. We had to ask for basic items like butter. Two of the party managed to order other drinks but the waiter didn't ask anyone else. At one point someone was hoovering outside. Had to ask for tea to be refilled. Nobody was asked what specific tea they would like although there were multiple choices listed on the description menu. Was expecting the sweet items as per the description but got two huge cakes instead. The menu stated that a trio of scones would be served with jam and lemon curd. We received two scones with no lemon curd. Service was sporadic to say the least and we were chasing them on several occasions. I have paid a fraction of the price in other venues and received much better quality of food and service.

We were married there 44 years ago, and on a break popped in today to reminisce, we went for a coffee in a small room, the tables were dirty, the room Looked dingy, we ordered 2 coffees waited 24 minutes and got a pot of tea for 2, it took another 15 minutes to pay the bill, the woman o. Dury was pleasant but spoke very poor English, we were happy to leave, so sad to see the hotel today

Having spent two beautiful, peaceful days at Cranthorne Hall I would highly recommend this hotel. It is surrounded by woodlands full of wildlife from various species of birds to a beautiful tiny weasel. A mammal seldom seen. The service and food on offer was excellent. Martin and Gloria added an extra cheer to the start of the day as they served breakfast..

We stayed at The Grand Stately Crathorne Hall Hotel, a historic building built in 1906 with captivating views of the Leven Valley on the edge of the Yorkshire moors. This unique blend of historic features and contemporary luxury makes it an ideal retreat for those seeking a traditional countryside escape with added comfort. It appeals to those who appreciate classic grandeur. The hotel offers luxurious guest experiences delivered with warmth, passion and integrity. It is a wonderful place to stay, situated in beautiful surroundings. The staff provided exceptional service, ensuring a wonderful experience in a magnificent building. We can’t wait to return to this friendly relaxed and attentive establishment where traditional hotel service meets old-school charm.

Popped in off the A1 for an afternoon coffee break on a long a long journey up north. Ended up staying a couple of hours for lunch. Sandwiches were delicous. Lovely place, excellent service and friendly staff.
