Haworth Car Park

The owner of this car park was trying to sell his book at the pay point in exchange for free parking. My husband didn’t want to purchase it and very politely declined (congratulating the man on his efforts). The older of the two then started asking us to leave the car park and they both physically blocked my way to the pay point. I couldn’t understand why the situation escalated so quickly, and I certainly didn’t believe that these two crazy old men owned the car park so I proceeded in trying to pay for my parking until the bald man physically touched my husband in attempt to remove him. We decided to leave as it just wasn’t worth the hassle. I took these pictures just in case the younger of these two much older men did something to me on the way back to the car as I really couldn’t (and still can’t) understand what had made them so mad. I wouldn’t feel safe going here again. If I was alone, I’d have been very concerned. It’s also such a shame that these two “men” are welcoming people in to Haworth in this way. I don’t think they belong in such a lovely place.
