*Sainsbury’s—Where Freshness and Customer Service Go to Die* If I could give Sainsbury’s online grocery delivery zero stars, I would. But alas, even incompetence gets a single star these days. I made the mistake of ordering fresh meat from Sainsbury’s, expecting something that would last more than 24 hours. Silly me! Instead, I received what can only be described as a science experiment waiting to happen—meat that was already flirting with its expiration date like a desperate contestant on a dating show. I barely had time to open the packet before it would have needed a Viking funeral. Naturally, I tried to get some help. But Sainsbury’s customer service must operate from a remote cave with no phone signal, because calling them was a complete waste of time. I tried. I waited. I listened to the automated voice assuring me that “my call was important.” Lies. Nobody answered. Maybe they were too busy sending out more near-rotten groceries to other unsuspecting customers. So, I turned to online support, hoping for salvation. Nope. Just a series of blockades and Barriers. Sainsbury’s, here’s a tip: If I wanted expired food, I’d go get it from your bins for free. If I wanted customer service that doesn’t respond, I’d yell into the void. Sort yourselves out. In the meantime, I’ll be shopping elsewhere—somewhere that understands the revolutionary concept of “fresh food” and “answering the phone.” For reference the order was placed online on 13/01/2025 at around 22:15.

while queuing at the checkout after making the effort to actually go into the shop a driver waltzes in ignores myself and the other people queuing goes to the vacant checkout to collect his order , the checkout assistant instantly ignores everyone else and proceeds to give him preferential treatment ! Extremely poor customer service

If any one wonder where their online shopping is. It's been given away to random driver. Then when I wanted to pick it up they said they won't pick it again for customer as they already given it away by mistake wasting my and customers time at the same time. Very disrespectful management

If google let you give minus stars this place would get them a lot, hygiene is not good a member of staff stopped serving clean a spillage near the till did not wash her hands just started putting a customers shopping through the till.1000 hrs this morning. I can remember when service and quality was high in this shop. Now questionable. But just lately that staff seem more on having a natter with customers rather than doing their jobs and get the customers through quicker so the queue doesn't get too big. If this is the new policy then it needs stopping, you can be polite without holding the other customers up in the line who just want a quick service. Good idea to put self service machines but you have lost a star by having to wait 5mins whilst the only person behind the counter left the queue of people waiting to be served to assist the self service. That is not progress. Just knocked of another star the last twice the apples have either been very badly bruised or mouldy,at a mile to walk not worth taking back for a refund will not buy apples hear again looks like quality has gone the same way as the service.

Nice shop, only downside is they change prices all the time putting them on offer one week and then day after it’s doubled in price. Staff are friendly and always helpful. Handy to have as a local shop got everything that you need and more.
