Saltmoore

What a stunning place Saltmoore is! We visited for our mini moon and it couldn't have been better. The rooms were stunning and large, the spa was perfect for relaxing and looking out onto the beautiful grounds of the hotel too. Kayleigh on reception was extremely welcoming when we arrived and made sure we comfortable knowing all we needed to about the hotel and local area. We visited the Pizzeria at The Beach House and the pizzas were DELICIOUS! Great gluten free options as my wife is coeliac. They had a great variety of options for her. Natalie our waitress was excellent, super friendly and made us feel so welcome. She really made the experience at the Pizzeria feel special. We also tried the Brasserie which has very nice food but was slightly overpriced I would say. Tasty food but be ready to spend when visiting this restaurant. Overall, the location is stunning, the hotel is beautifully fitted out and perfect for every occasion. We will definitely be visiting Saltmoore again!

Lovely stay. Great attention to detail. Staff were all amazing. As we booked directly on their website, the spa access was included, which you can also use before check in and after you check out. My only complaint would be that we could hear the next room’s TV at night. We chose not to have breakfast on site but did eat at the Pizzeria and the service was great. I was able to get a gluten free pizza.

Absolutely stunning place. Impeccable service, so much attention to detail in everything. The spa facilities are simply magnificent. I’ve been here twice and will come back again. Thank you!

A simply wonderful place to stay for a spa breaks. Comfortable and classy rooms, wonderfully helpful staff, excellent restaurant for evening meal & breakfast offerings are of a high level. The spa itself and associated massages / treatments are all of a very high level. We loved our 3 day stay, and as it's close to the coast and Whitby etc. there is lots to do once you leave the Spa also.

Not there yet. We stayed in one of the suites in Saltmoore, which was lovely. We ate in the restaurant and the pizzeria the following night. Food was brilliant. Where this place falls down is the service. It is so slow. This often forgotten. We overheard lots of people asking for things a number of times that had been ordered. Now the staff were lovely, there is just not enough of them. The owners need to employ more staff. They are not at the five star they are aiming for. Trying to get a drink in the bar is near impossible. We went after dinner. No bar tender. Had to ring the bell on the bar. Still no bar tender came. After about 20 minutes someone turned up, I order a drink, he mumbled something and disappeared again. Came back 5 minutes later. I did get the drinks, that were good. Went back the following night. Similar problems. We walked in to see several irate guests. We just walked back out again as we new there was no chance of a drink. In summary, this place will be amazing if the owner invest in more staff.
