I'm no Eco warrior but no paper bags for loose fruit and veg is a pain. When i questioned it they said it was a conscious decision and I could pay 30p for a special plastic mesh bag... for the environment....are they high.
21/12 @11am Sainsbury’s Monks Cross was really busy, but you know what fantastic service from all the staff. They were even dishing out chocolates at the checkout. You turned a normally stressful situation into a pleasant and happy one.
I shop every day, primarily for the Press & top ups. I have seen my daily shop rise from an average £7/day to £10/day which reflects the National Cost of Living increase. Whereas the quality of items is good there are too many instances of non availability of standard products &/or substitutes at higher prices. The other main complaint I have is the regular breakdown of self-checkout machines.
Sainsbury's Monks cross is my local supermarket I have used for some years. They have great produce especially their fresh fruit and veg which is well chosen from good suppliers as it lasts longer and tastes better than any other supermarkets I have tried. Their own brands are really good too. You can order online or do click and collect and they also have an in-store Argos which is another bonus. The staff are nearly always the same and are great. Throughout the pandemic they worked extremely hard and I hope everyone appreciated them, as all front line workers seem to get a shout for their hard work but not much is said about all other workers who kept our lives going too. I'd like to say a MASSIVE Thank you to them all.
A great experience. All quality products. Genuine staff who make you feel that you are not in the way and happy to help. Keen pricing. Will be back.
