Attended a course here for work. The rooms were more than adequate for what is required, the food is good and the site is very nice. The course content was great and really useful, it’s a shame that they don’t have an NVQ or equivalent recognition for some courses.
I am currently staying at the EPC on a course. The food is lovely and the course is good as is the trainer. However due to bad weather the wi-fi has been unavailable in the accommodation block, but is available in the classrooms. I am unhappy with this as I do not get service here on my phone meaning I have had to connect to my work phone hotspot to have any type of contact with anyone. The wi-fi went back on for about 30 minutes today, then went off again and when asked if it would be turned back on we were told no. I think this is such a shame and has limited my experience. My work phone does not have unlimited data so when that does run out I will be unable to contact anyone which is a shame especially with this being my first course away for a 5 day period of time. Since the college is an emergency planning college I thought there would be some contingency for this matter. The rest of the college is lovely as is the other services available.
