I'm writing this on behalf of my mum who stayed on the 19th Nov 2022. The room had a strong smell of damp, a fridge that was dirty and a microwave with rust and a handle that was loose. The shower plug had an awful smell coming from it. Someone had kindly left dog poo on the window which was still there when they left. Will not be staying again.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Worst hotel/accommodation I have ever stayed in. Walls are paper thin. You can hear everything going on in the rooms next door - neighbours talking, walking around, watching TV, urinating - we heard it all. The worst of all was that the guy next door went into his room after midnight and started playing music from his TV. It was so loud!! I could tell he was drunk so part of me was a bit apprehensive about going through to ask him to turn it down, just in case he got aggressive or anything. I tried to contact the staff of the accommodation by text and phonecall using the numbers on their "out of hours" notice board but no answer which meant I had to go ask the guy to turn it down - which he did without any hassle to be fair, but really I don't think it's the job of the customers to marshall the noise of the neighbours, the staff should be available for that. We didn't get to sleep until close to 2am because of this. The room was not very clean. Dust and grime in some prominent places and the inside of the fridge looked pretty grimy. Even outside of the room had a weird smell - like urine to be honest - which doesn't give a good first impression as you're walking to your room. The drain in the bath was blocked which is disgusting at the best of times but given the cleanliness of the room, it was even more gross. The shower head was leaking so had to be kept lying down in the bath, rather than in on its mount. And at one point we heard a whining noise coming from the bathroom which turned out to be the taps for the shower, which were loose and hanging off the wall a wee bit. The bedding was really cheap feeling and the mattress was uncomfortable to try and sleep on. I cannot stress how bad this place is! If you have to stay in this area, I highly recommend you stay virtually anywhere else but here.

Rooms were of reasonable size and contained everything needed for a short stay. Location isn't ideal as there's not much around but the Peppered Pig restaurant that's 5 minute walk away is well worth a visit for a nice meal. For the price, it's definitely worth it but not for more than a few days.

Decor dated and shabby, cleanliness not up to par. But a bonus they do take dogs. The restaurant of the same name next door. Well worth a visit. Beautiful Indian food and fantastic prices. Welcoming atmosphere.
