My wife and I along with our dog Nellie really enjoyed our 2 night stay with yourselfs. The Lodge was lovely and cosy and the surroundings where beautiful especially hearing the River running constantly. Nice and private with no interruptions. Proper Yorkshire teabags, fruit cake and fresh milk was a great touch. Thankyou for our beautiful stay. Jeff, Jenny and Nellie 👌☺️

Absolutely Gorgeous place to stay!! So cosy and had everything we needed and plenty of logs available for the fire! Lovely places to visit nearby such as Whitby and we had a lovely meal at a nearby pub called the Postgate Inn. (Less than 10 minute walk) Would highly recommend booking the riverside lodge.

This is the most beautiful relaxing place. Excellent service from both Alison and Laura. Having our 4 legged friends with us topped it off nicely. Oh and not forgetting rhe excellent pubs within walking distance.....our favourite being The Wheatsheaf.

The perfect location for a relaxing a week away exploring the area. The River Lodge didn't disappoint it was tranquil and lovely to wake in the morning, open the doors wide and listen to the bird song. The only disappointment for us was that the wood burner was broken 😞 Luckily for us the weather was mild enough not to need it for heat.

The River Lodge: Laura and team provided us with an idyllic honeymoon retreat - plenty of cosy rugs, ample firewood for the log-burning stove, Christmas lighting, magical copper bathtub on the terrace, and the comfiest bedding. A proper remote woodland escape on the riverbank. The stove took a little sussing out but we were provided with the manual and easy access to Laura for any queries, plus some excellent pubs in v easy walking distance (including the Monday Curry night at the Horseshoe hotel - excellent!).
