The Whalebone Arch

The Whale Bone Arch Guest House was a fantastic find and the perfect base for our trip. You simply cannot ask for a better location, with all the main sights just a pleasant stroll away, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. Our room was the true highlight of the stay. It was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. We really appreciated the high-quality feel of the place and the thoughtful touches provided in the room. It was the perfect, quiet, and relaxing space to return to after a busy day out. If you are looking for a top-quality, comfortable, and perfectly situated room for your visit, we highly recommend it. An excellent choice

Room was basic and needs a refresh, no USB sockets on walls and general lack of close electric sockets in general in our room. Parking wasn't great as we got there on match day and I had to park about 3 streets away but was better once the fans had left. Didn't actually see the owners at all, was cryptically asked to just post the balance of our stay in cash through a hole in the wall which didn't sit right with me. Pillows not great (too soft and no additional ones in room), but room was clean and had things like water in fridge and milk which was nice, also had fan and a good supply of tea which never goes amiss.

lovely location, clean room and a really comfy bed! plus smells incredible when you enter, also love the detail put into the black folder. can really tell the owners care about the place would definitely return

What a Gem of hotel. We stayed for a 3 night break in Room 2 on the first floor. Room was spotless, beautiful king size bed (waved goodnight to my husband on the other side of the bed and slept like a log) Well located 10 minute walk to Whitby main harbour. Loved the sea view. Emma and Dave are lovely and had provided plenty of information on anything you need to know about the stay and the local amenities. Parking permits are provided however my husband has a disabled blue badge and we were able to use that to park outside the hotel. Highly recommend ❤️

Great room, comfortable bed and better than expected. Owners can't do enough for you. Would recommend to anyone visiting whitby as ideal location.
