What a find! If you want to have a true small English village experience stay here. Beautiful accommodation, no fridge and just a kettle etc but beautifully presented and extremely comfortable. You’re staying in the pub or in accom a few steps away. The pub itself is gorgeous. Cosy, super friendly management, thriving business even in the shoulder season. Dine in the restaurant which looked lovely or as we did in the bistro/ bar. And the meal was absolutely delicious and plenty of it. I could not fault this place! Ample parking whether you have a small car, motorbike or Winnebago. Kudos to the management who were hands on … loved our stay. And the pricing , amazing.
Great pub in a lovely location. Food was excellent. Service was perfect but the space we were in is very dark decorated which made it difficult to see anything due to low sunlight from window. Not the best colour scheme for eating.
Fantastic place to stay, rooms are beautiful and comfy, welcoming bar and the food is superb. The staff are very friendly helpful a nd attentive. Stayed 1 night for business trip good location, very quiet and peaceful, well worth a stay.
We were able to sleep with our van in the parking lot. Before leaving we had breakfast there. Typically English, very good quality products, perfectly cooked and a very good quantity (difficult to eat it all but so good). The young waitress was very smiley, sweet and welcoming.
Delicious food and plenty of atmosphere. I had duck breast cooked medium well and it was the best I've had - perfectly rested so it was soft, tender and the plate wasn't swimming in blood. Finished off with a classic - raspberry and sherry trifle! What a joy to see an English trifle on a deserts list!
