Lovely pub, very nice food and comfy setting. We didn't book and took our chances at getting a table very early evening and we were lucky enough to be accommodated. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. We were very happy with our meals. The pub is dog friendly too, which was an added bonus for us so our dog could come along too.

A very short notice request for a buffet. This was for after my mum's burial. Nicola was amazing! We had sandwiches and chips. A really good spread and everyone thought the food was really good. We weren't rushed and felt welcome. Thank you very much.

What a gem! Absolutely delightful pub, with friendly service and delicious food offering all the classic pub grub favourites. All the meat, fish and produce is locally sourced and the puddings are all homemade. Generous portions and kids eat free over Summer. The food was all fantastic, a special shout out for the sticky toffee pudding, as well as great vegetarian options. A delight in the Dales.

What a great find. Can't believe some of the negative reviews! This was a great country pub, the staff were very welcoming and the beer was good, but the food was outstanding. Tasty, good portions and the price very good. So good we went back, definitely recommend and will be back when in the area.

βΈ» Absolutely the worst food I have ever eaten. We were told we could sit in the conservatory because we had dogs, but it needed cleaning first. By the time it was cleaned and before we even sat down, the food was already on the table. The potato skins were all frozen β€” all three portions. There were also items missing from the orders. The hot roast sandwich was far from hot and, like other reviews mention, it was like chewing leather. With just shy of Β£300 being charged, it’s an insult that they also added a 10% service charge.
