Southview Holiday Village

A really lovely place in a quiet location with great views of Cleveland Hills right behind the campsite. No light pollution so perfect for sitting outside on clear nights, stargazing. Clean toilets and washrooms. Two hot showers. Dave and Brian were very helpful and approachable. John is a friendly lad who chatted with us when we arrived and his young Patterdale terrier is a cheeky boy and he loved a fuss! Several gravel and grass pitches with EHU. We've really enjoyed our stay and will be back next time we're up this end of the country. The site is right beside to a working farm so bear that in mind! 10/10

What attracted me to this place was a view on pictures and also the fact that is a small side. I was hoping that in reality it will be what I looked for and OMG! I got even more! This place is lovely! Spectacular views, small, well kept place, with plenty space to walk with dogs. Dave was so helpful and super nice! The most surprising was fantastic shower block! Very clean, solid with strong pressure and hot water, which was very welcome after all day out in windy and chilled day! We will be back as it was perfect base camp to get around to places we like to visit! Looooove it!

We had a camping trip on this site and it was brilliant. There was lots of room between tents and caravans, it was surrounded by beautiful countryside but within a short drive to villages nearby. The facilities were clean and of a good standard. Everything was perfect but the best part was the incredible manager Dave, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable and pleasant stay, which we appreciated very much. We will be returning and would highly recommended a stay at South View 😊.

Great site with lovely views. Facilities were nice and clean. Was great to meet John, very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. We will definitely be coming back it's a hidden gem!

Lovely lodge with friendly hosts The room is very clean and well maintained. The only downside was how the kitchen was equipped, no trays or anything to cook food on in the oven and other utensils were lacking/missing
