First impression was how spacious and clean the cafe was. (Particularly good for wheelchair users). A smile and friendly welcome goes a long way and it soon became clear everyone was greeted in the same positive way. (Very rare - so a big pat on the back to the staff). As each group of guests left, the table was cleared and the patrons given a fond farewell. A feel good cafe away from the hustle and bustle of similar establishments on the A64 or retail parks closeby. I suggest a visit 😊
Fantastic wee place with great staff. I actually first came with my dog (not an assisted animal) and the manager politely told me that Costa are actually trialling this initiative but unfortunately not at this store. I did witness a very unpleasant lady who was told the same thing as me on the day but didn’t seem to take the news too well (oh well small minds are easy to please). The facilities are very clean, staff extremely welcoming and from what Ive witnessed have a very hearty bunch of locals that have great banter. Keep up the good work Heather & Eden.
2 very rude male staff! They both needed more training in customer service and hygiene regulations. Paper cups were dropped onto the floor! They were picked up and put back onto the counter to use! I witnessed one of the servers literally throw 2 forks onto a tray! My friend asked for a gift voucher and they were so rude to her! I was appualed at there lack of people skills. Happy to never visit Costa in Haxby ever again.
Dirty cup given with lipstick still on from previous customer only notice when almost finished the drink. Yuk
Two male staff members (one was ginger who was particularly rude) were extremely rude when we came in. Absolutely no customer service at all. Considering there’s other bad reviews about two male staff members who I would assume to be the same ones we dealt with, it’s a shame they haven’t been given further training or a warning
